"Make what stop?" Concern crossed her features as she knitted her brows together. "Whatever it is you think I'm doing, I can assure you that it's not." The sarcasm that normally carries weight was lost in the void, replaced by a touch of softness in her tone that even surprised her but the tension in her posture remained. "Whatever this is," she waved a hand at the redhead. "It's not a vampire." Could she say that for sure, though? No.

The hurt etched upon Kiara's features at his harsh words. Her mouth opened ajar, as her eyes widened. The pain in her chest was hard to hide, yet she had to swallow the bitter pill that he wouldn't fully open up to her in spite of everything. A frown marred her delicate features. "Jayj..." she spoke hesitantly, and knew that she had to proceed with caution. "Tell me...I can't help you, if you won't let me in. Please don't push me away. I'm not going to let you. Not this time," she stated, firmly standing her ground. She hated the fact that he kept pushing her away, when it was obvious he needed to vent his frustration or whatever it is he's dealing with on his own. "You're not alone anymore. You don't need to keep doing things by yourself. I'm here. We're a team now," she reiterated, as she felt the overwhelming desire to wrap her arms around him in a warm embrace.

Kiara eyed the small bag nervously, "Dude...what the...Thank you, but it's not my birthday," she teased with a grin. "You know you guys don't have to do this, right?" she questioned as she took the bag. Opening it wider and her eyes peaked inside, a sharp gasp fell her lips as her eyes darted between him and the gift. "Aww. John B..." she cooed, as she moved closer to give him a one-armed hug. "It's perfect, I love it," she gushed as her fingers delicately lifted the shiny turtle necklace out of the bag. 

He knew he shouldn't be amused, or laughing, but Jeremy couldn't help himself. Even feeling as sick as he was feeling, he still couldn't quite stop himself from chuckling at being taken care of. His sister had tried for ages, and she sucked at it, and now he just had someone else trying? "I'm just gonna be a baby forever." He mumbled to @freaksandfangs, not sounding too pleased with himself despite the chuckle.

Soon, however, he was green-faced and his stomach was churning. "Okay, but shellfish is great. It's not my fault my stomach is weaker than my brain."

“Exactly what the fuck I said, Peter.” Tyler had been irritated all day, dealing with everything and everyone and the one person who, Tyler had thought, could handle his own shit and yet here he was knocking on his door. 

“You told me that you handled it, man.” He shook his head and chuckled, standing in his own doorway as he leaned against it. "I don't know what you want from me. I was under the impression you could handle your shit. If I'm mistaken, I can hire someone else to get the job done, Peter.
