She lost one of her eggs, she is determined to not lose her two remaining babies by any means necessary…

She may be smaller than other fragons (even smaller than a standard female) but she is fierce and willing to do anything to protect her little family.

Redrew something I did last year

Fragon saddles were mostly made of tanned leather from lava-clutch lizards (for their durability and fire resistance) or tree-clutch lizards if they weren’t war fragons or not needed in combat.

Nakau were taught how to maintain and repair their own saddles which involved learning how to repair basic scratches all the way up to mending broken straps and which oils to use in order to avoid dry rot.

Stable attendants, which consists of castrated workers, are usually the ones to wash and maintain saddles at the end of day.

If not maintained properly, a saddle could rot and a strap could break mid flight which is devastating and fatal of your fragon cannot save you.

Saddles were made to wrap around the neck and forelimbs of the fragon to avoid getting in the way as much as possible and to allow a proper seat for the nakau to see and command their flying beast. Rings were also provided to hook to a belt on the rider’s waist in order to keep them from falling midair.

Saddles came in several different types, such as ones for the war fragons (seen above) that aren’t very comfortable, ones built for a more leisurely ride for private fragon owners. As a fragon grew larger and larger, they would require new or modified saddles or even rings nailed into their hardened scales to just strap a saddle in (but that was only for the absolute largest an oldest fragons)
