well yes, he bites, but that's just how he shows affection
πΏππ 10 π ππππππ πΈπππ
(List is entirely subjective. Picks are based off of how much fun I have on each map.)
10. Totenreich
It feels early to rank this map since it is the newest in the series but I have really enjoyed it so far. It feels as if zombies is going back to it's roots in the World War 2 setting. The map is connected and feels like a real village. The small details of churches and market stalls drive home the point that this was someone's community before it became what it is now. The more industrial side of the map contrasts the village section perfectly. Seeing the Origins robots again and repairing one for the main quest was really cool.
9. Moon
It's zombies in space. What more can I say? The setting is amazing. Low gravity and the astronaut do so much for immersion. The astronaut's name potentially being someone on your friends list is creepy and I love it. Moon's main quest does so much for zombies as well with the ending setting up Black Ops 2 and the Victis crew.
8. Dead of the Night
Vampires and werewolves chasing you through an awe inspiring mansion filled with surprises. Moving bookshelves, magic tuning forks, and a sick revolver locked in a case are just the beginning. There's so much to do on this map. You hunt silver for bullets, material to melt the silver, shield parts to cover your back, and a bunch of gross monster bits to science it up with that locked up revolver. It's all one big scavenger hunt promising power as your prize.
7. Zombies in Spaceland
The first and best map for Infinite Warfare zombies. When you first play it, there's so much to see and do but when you come back, it's simple and familiar. It hit the sweet spot of complexity for core gameplay. The main quest is on the weaker side but that's mainly because it relies on wanting the player to build wonder weapons. (Can skip entirely with director's cut.) The map also features David Hasselhoff serving up some killer tracks as our DJ. Nothing else in zombies compares to fighting off battery powered aliens with Tainted Love blasting in the background. Also, Paul Reubens made for a fun announcer, occasionally commenting on gameplay as though he was attempting to direct it...(get it? Haha)
6. Revelations
THE END... Well that's what we thought when the final cutscene played. It wasn't of course. This map was meant to be the end of our story. We take the Summoning Key back to the house and restore everything. Oh no! Shadow man ruins it. The map's systems were fun. Seeing all the older maps coming together in different states of ruin was really interesting. Origins and Mob were smashed together and left to float in space, Verruckt and Kino were strangely beautiful, now overgrown with plants, and Nacht served as a central spot to navigate between the new islands and most importantly, the location you use electricity to capture and be eaten by an Apothicon. Yep you want to get eaten by it because the gross blob ate the Pack a Punch machine. Revelations had an amazing set of weapons as well. It had most of the at the time new dlc multi-player weapons as well as the Apothicon Servant and Thundergun.
5. The Shadowed Throne
World War 2 was a very solid zombies in my opinion. Without the Tortured Path and Darkest Shore, it would've only been good maps. I could've gone with any of the maps but Shadowed Throne stood out most to me due to the location. I love city/town maps so it was a 50/50 between this and Final Reich. I do prefer the special melee weapons and the Wunderbuss over the Tesla Gun as it just feels like a weaker Wunderwaffe. The map's boss was delightfully disgusting and a fun fight overall.
4. Alpha Omega
In all honesty, this is the only version of Nuketown zombies that I like. The map from Black Ops 2 was too small and required a lot of luck to have a good game. Paradox Junction from Black Ops 7 felt lazy compared to the other maps. (Written with Totenreich as most recent map.) Sure, it had the time travel feature with the different versions but where are the bunkers? We want bunkers! I'll tell you where usable bunkers are... Alpha Omega. Boom you're at the biggest version of Nuketown zombies. Full neighborhood on the top level going from the security checkpoint to the classic houses we know from multi-player. Full connected bunker with unique rooms on the bottom level. The main quest is just okay but the ending and the final boss are pretty cool. The wonder weapons are just the Ray Gun MK II but they have special upgrades that I really enjoy. Also a map with both of our main crews playable was fun.
3. The Reckoning
One more modern zombies map. I enjoyed a good chunk of Black Ops 6 zombies. The Tomb was the only map I wasn't a fan of, to be honest. What makes the Reckoning special was how familiar it all was. It's weird. You have the verticality of Die Rise without the downsides, the weird science elements from earlier in 6 and Cold War, and Klaus making a return from Cold War (with an updated design.) The differences between the rooms of Janus Towers was really nice as well. Loved going from a regular office to a room full of purple glowing spores. The main quest was so fun and the two bosses at the end were an amazing addition. This was a great ending to Black Ops 6 and the cutscene made me excited to see where 7 would take the mode next.
2. Shadows of Evil
Gonna get this out of the way first. Jeff Goldblum as one of the characters. So cool. Going from the more grounded themes of Black Ops 2 to aliens, rituals, and portals in 3. This was the start of fantasy zombies and it was perfect. The side quest to power the Civil Protector and the steps to get the sword are so fun to go back to do. The underground area with a hidden Pack a Punch and... WALL RUNNING? The shock from figuring out I had to use multi-player movement in zombies... On top of that, the new monsters. Insanity Elementals (meatballs), Keepers, and Margwas. It was a perfect lineup for a perfect map. Then of course the introduction of the Apothicon Servant.
1. Mob of the Dead
I really don't know where to start. It's perfect. A zombies map set in a hellish Alcatraz island with the ability to fly to the Golden Gate Bridge? Sign me up. Cell blocks decorated with hanging corpses, a tunnel underneath the prison with a secret fiery tomahawk, and a dock with a mysterious sniper just waiting to help fend off the undead. On top of that, the undead warden determined to lock you up yet again while you search the map for hidden ghostly skulls just waiting to be found for a free Blundergat. Last but not least, the cast. Ray Liotta, Michael Madsen, Chazz Palminteri, and Joe Pantoliano provide the voices for our crew of mobsters and if you're familiar with mob related entertainment, it's the cherry on top.

I'm Patrick and this is where I post about anything Call of Duty Zombies related. My main focus is going to be on discussions sounding the maps, weapons, and lore of the series.
Thank You!
