ATSF FP45 5943 by Steve Sloan Via Flickr: On Saturday, March 15, 1975 Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe (ATSF) FP45 5943 was in storage, due to a severe recession, in Barstow, CA. ATSF 5943 was an EMD FP45. It reportedly was built in 1967, as an EMD FP45 ATSF 103 construction number 33192. It was rebuilt into FP45u/SDFP45 5993. Other numbers associated with this unit include ATSF 93 and ATSF 106.
