You might recognize these distinctive yellow chairs, scattered throughout the von Trapp villa in the 1965 classic đťđđ đşđđđđ đđ đ´đđđđ. But did you know, theyâve appeared in other productions as well?  Part of a large set once owned by Twentieth Century Fox (now Twentieth Century Studios), the collection included numerous Louis XV and Louis XVIâstyle pieces: chairs both with and without arms, at least two settees, and multiple bergèresâsome upholstered, others canedâall covered in that unmistakable yellow fabric.  Several pieces from the set appear in the 1963 comedy đťđđđ đŻđđ, đşđđâđ đ´đđđ, and later in the 1966 episode of đťđđ đťđđđ đťđđđđđ entitled đšđđđ đđđđđđ đđđđ đđđđđđđ đđ.  The chairs likely appeared in many more Fox productions before 1963 and after 1966. Their ultimate fate is uncertain, though itâs probable they were sold during the studioâs massive 1971 auction, when much of Foxâs prop and costume collection was dispersed.  If youâve seen these pieces in another Fox production, let us know!
