Margot smirked and ran her fingers through his disheveled hair. "Well, you keep showing up looking all sweet and polite in public. I have to ruin you in private."

Before Bob could retort, a knock pounded at the door, loud and familiar.

"Margot?" cam Rooster's unmistakable voice, sharp and way too close. "You in there?"

Bob froze like a deer caught in headlights.

"Shit!" Margot hissed, pushing him off of her. "Closet. Now!"

Margot frantically scanned the room, grabbed Bob's boxers, t-shirt, and jeans off the floor, and shoved them into her dresser.

Bob darted across the room like a man dodging enemy fire, slipping inside her small closet just as she pulled on a pair of shorts and yanked a hoodie over her head - inside out at first, then corrected it with a quiet curse.

Another knock. "Margot, open up! I know you're in there!"

"I'm coming!" she called back, breathless and flushed for reasons her twin brother did not need to know.

She flung open the door, heart pounding. Rooster stood there in his flight suit, holding two smoothies and looking suspicious.

"You okay?' he asked, eyes narrowing slightly. "You sound outta breath."

Margot gave what she hoped was a convincing laugh. "Yeah, sorry. I was doing yoga. Core work. You know - planks."

Rooster raised an eyebrow. "In this tiny room?"

"Pilates then," she corrected, reaching out to snatch on of the smoothies. "Thanks for the treat."

Rooster stepped forwards, his gaze drifting around the room. "Smells like...cologne in here."

Margot sipped her smoothie and leaned against the doorframe with practiced nonchalance. "Weird. Must be my shampoo."

Rooster sniffed again and gave her a look. "That your hoodie from high school? Looks familiar."

Margot tugged at the hem nervously. "It's comfy. Why are you being weird."

He frowned. "You're acting weird?"

She scoffed. "You're projecting."

Rooster gave her one last long look before shrugging. "Anyway...bunch of us are grabbing food after debrief if you wanna come."

"I'll think about it," she said quickly, already trying to push the door closed.

Rooster didn't budge. "Wait, it that-" He peered past her shoulder.

Margot shoved him gently back with one hand. "Privacy, Bradley. Ever heard of it?"

He smirked. "Fine, fine. Just checking on my little sister. You're acting like you've got a guy in there or something."

She laughed - too loudly. "Pfft. That'd be ridiculous."

Rooster gave her another suspicious look but finally turned down the hallway.

As soon as the door clicked shut, Margot exhaled and slumped against it. "That was too close."

Bob stumbled out of the closet, red in the face. "I think I forgot how to breathe for a second."

Margot walked over to him and pressed a kiss to his cheek. "You're lucky I love you, Floyd."

Bob grinned. "Next time, we go to my room."

Margot raised an eyebrow. "You don't have a twin with the world's worst timing."
