Split a few beers with my boys Jablair and Duce. Started off with @nightshiftbeer Mystery Weisse 2014. It was a Berliner Weisse aged on peaches and apricots. Time made this even better! The fruit seemed to be more prominent. Next up was @foundationbrew Moveable Type. It was a farmhouse ale brewed with saison yeast and brettanomyces, then aged for a year. It was dry, tart, and slightly tropical. It was great! Jablair brought the Reason Beer Blonde Ale. Reason Beer is a new brewery in Virginia. One of the founders was head of brewing at Maine Beer Company. This was earthier than most blondes, but it was right in my wheelhouse! The penultimate beer was Foundation Cosmic Bloom Pale Ale. It was boss! Floral and citrus flavors were there yet refined as a pale ale should be. The last beer was a collaboration between Hoof Hearted and Stillwater Artisinal Ales. Don't Tell Mike was a DIPA brewed with hibiscus and pinot noir juice. The pinot juice gave it a muddy red color. It was hoppy and floral with a touch of grape juice.
