In the next day or two I’m going to be releasing a new ReShade thing.
The game is too blue. Neutrals, whites, and shadows generally have a blue tint to them, and there’s a blue haze across the screen (there are a handful of worlds where this isn’t as noticeable apart from at night). It makes creating ReShade presets difficult because you’re fighting against all that blue before you can get started.
In the past I’ve used various combinations of shader tweaks to try and neutralise the blue, but it’s either reduced the saturation of everything blue in the process, or left neutrals too yellow instead, meaning you keep having to rebalance and rebalance with additional shaders, which is time consuming, annoying and frustrating.
A few days ago I stumbled upon a different method of doing it which seems to work really well. It doesn’t destroy things that are blue, and it doesn’t leave things too yellow.
I’m going to release a LUT that you can use alone, either to just make the game look a bit more balanced or to build your own preset around, or to pop into any other preset you currently use to help provide a solid foundation (it’ll be called Foundation!). I’m also going to release it as a full preset in its own right. It’ll be subtle, it’ll look like TS4 but better.
