on to nice and cute things: like my Augustus. who I took in as a foster when he was 1 week old, very sick, and weighing less than most newborn kittens. didn’t think he’d make it the weekend let alone to be the big love bug he is now, weighing 11.5lbs! obvs he ended up being a foster fail because he and I just bonded so deeply. his unique look is due to a surgery he had to have to correct the congenital defect called eyelid agenesis which is when kittens are born with no eyelids. in order to keep him from going totally blind we had to take extra skin from the corner of his mouth to make eyelids. that’s why he’s got those pale tufts of fur by his eyes and always looks like he’s smiling. he’s also just a super happy boy.
And the final names are... REMY AND JUNO!
Lila (torbie), Wentworth (long haired orange tabby), Bea (silver tabby), and Diego (shirt haired ginger tabby)!l and Klaus (grey tabby).
So when I’m not talking about fandoms I foster neo-natal and special needs kittens and I feel the need to show y’all how adorable my babies are. These are my foster fails, tbh. But I’ve successful adopted out 36 kittens and I’ve only kept 4? 5? So there’s Bea who is paralyzed, Gus who is partially blind and had to have surgery to make eyelids because he was born without, Quinn who lost her front leg because we think someone shot her with something, and little Wentworth who came to us with a burst intestinal hernia and broken up leg they had to be removed.
