I admired you behind the screen,

Through magazines, posters, thick or thin,

On the podium, with gold, you beamed,

So high and far beyond my reach.

Years, I've followed your path,

Months, I've spent to slowly catch up,

Hours, I've skated on the ice,

Countless bruises and sweat for this one time.

Returned after defeat,

Depressed, yet I skate to your routine,

The video on viral was my copy,

Who knew it'll be viewed by you overseas.

Got out of bed to shovel snow,

Then I met a poodle sitting behind the door,

Soon, my heart is no longer cold,

As you decided to be my coach.

The one I've been looked up to,

Here, as my coach is a dream come true,

You came into my life, everything feels new,

The more time we spent together, the closer we grew.

We became more affectionate as time pass by,

Hugs from you always make my heart fly,

When we sleep together it's always a better night.

Unexpected, you have knocked me onto the ice.

Despite the tension, we had some fun,

Going shopping, tasty dishes we had a ton,

The special day is around the corner,

As a gift, I gave you something round and golden.

This moment, I realized,

Without you, I won't be able to dance on the ice,

One more year, I'll get gold for sure.

Small interactions that seem normal,

Fills the empty spot in my world.

Feel my fingers in your hair,

Heartbeats in our chest.

Please, cuddle me close,

On sofa, while watching movies,

In bed, while having chit-chats,

During the night, while in our dreams.

Tapping hairline, hugs from behind,

For you, my love, I'll cross the line.
