Hey Lestappies,
I've got a little something for you here to celebrate Max 4th title 🤩🥳🥳

Charles is sitting on the edge of his bed looking out of the huge windows over the illuminated Vegas night. He sighs. It’s been a frustrating day. A frustrating year even. Frustrating four years if you want to put it like that. Every other race it’s been the same. Charles being the good teammate, the nice driver, who sticks by the team’s rules. But Carlos, well, Carlos just…
Charles closes his eyes, takes in a breath and counts to five before he exhales. Without noticing it his hands have clenched into fists around the too soft duvet of the foreign hotel room. This race has been the last straw. It’s taking its toll on him, more than he ever expected. Releasing the duvet from his fists, he drops to his back, staring at the ceiling. What a fucked up day. Not even the hot shower helped to wash it all off. It usually does ease the tension and the itching under his skin whenever he has a bad day. But not tonight . He is so on edge that he sent Joris and Andrea away to catch their flight, which he was supposed to take as well, but he decided to get some time alone instead and booked a flight for the next day.
Maybe it was a bad idea to stay in Vegas for a night longer with everybody on his team already leaving. Maybe being alone was not the right choice after all. It’s not helping the slightest to shake off the day’s race and all the anger that came with it. Charles should have known before since he’s freaking bad at being alone. Always finds himself overthinking everything. One of the reasons why he got Leo, to never be alone. Unfortunately Leo is not here right now. No one is here to calm him down.
An idea pops up in his mind and a laugh escapes his dry throat. It’s stupid. He can’t do that. But maybe… No, it’s stupid. It could be fun though. It could take the edge off him. It’s stupid. Weighing the pros and cons for a little longer Charles finally decides that it’s indeed a stupid idea. Yet maybe a little foolishness is exactly what he needs tonight.
