Felicette was a french cat that was sent into space and survived the return trip. I wanted to make Sol more of a cosmonaut since he was found in a spaceship. I almost had him call Sun Laika but since Felicette survived and Laika didn't I thought it was a better nickname. (Plus Sun likes cats)

Translation note, not everything is 1 to 1 but everything is an approximation so the same meaning is conveyed.

Headcanons for Sol in this au:

- Sol is a cleaner, he was meant to keep the spacecraft clean. His Moon was a researcher and studying disease in machines and humans.

- In this au, to explain why Sol was found as the sole survivor, all the humans on board perished from the disease they were trying to cure. Eventually, his Moon caught the disease so Sol has to cremate and dispose of every one infected to not bring it home. Only, his home world was taken out by the illness too and so he was just stuck drifting in his space ship.

- When he integrated into the sanctuary he didn't express himself much but wanted to get to know everyone. He really came to know every Sun.

-Sunrise and Sol actually are friends too. In the pictures I even showed Sunrise and Sol are getting drunk.

- He runs to be the next leader like canon and he was voted into the leadership position because he's shown to be extremely calm no matter what. It helps too that he got to know a lot of suns in the sanctuary.

- Once in power, he didn't become Tyrant until much later. I was thinking of having it be a mix of him deciding to keep the sanctuary safe by isolating and controlling even the smallest things. He doesn't want a repeat of his world where everyone died. His desire to protect gets warped, twisted. He also is not enjoying the tension between the Sanctuary and the Haven.
