Just the fact that Dan came out to his family via email is ICONIC.
But honestly, I'm just so fucking proud of Dan. Watching his video opened my eyes to labels and really just how much people seem to be defined by that and how it can and will leave an impact on them.

But seriously, thank you, Dan. You put words for things I’d been feeling for years, but I either couldn’t or was too afraid to.
I’ll come right out and say that I don’t like labels. I know I’m not 100% straight, but I know I’m not 100% a lesbian. I also don’t feel like bisexual or pansexual really applies to me because I tend to be attracted to personalities rather than like...looks. I mean, sure I’ll get tingly over some curves or a well-sculpted torso, but I’ve realized that I can’t let a label define me.
I can accept who I am. I am me. I have lots of complicated feelings. I am human!! And I love other humans! So here’s to the formless blobs, here’s to the gays, the bis, the pans, the aces, the EVERYBODY. Here’s to rambling because you are confused. I get it. And I love you all. Happy Pride, dangit. 😁

When I was struggling with my identity back in 2018, there was only the term ‘L.G.B.T.’ in Japan and I did not know the word or concept of ‘Queer’ or ‘Non-binary.’ So when Dan said ‘formless blobs’ in his video, it was the first-ever affirmation I got. To this day I hold those words close to my heart (as you can see in my username). I cannot thank you enough Dan. @danielhowell
