Made barbecue brisket for the first time yesterday and it came out almost perfect

I prepped veggies. Made dinner for Murble and I. Did the dishes. And then I tackled something that I haven’t had energy for since I got back to Iowa and something that plagues the Murbleage, I matched up the food storage containers. There were so many lids that no longer match up with anything and several bottoms without lids. I always kept a close watch on it while I was here and then when I was gone for 10 months things unraveled. It drives me bonkers when I grab a container and put food in it and then try every lid in the cupboard and nothing fits. So, for a moment anyway, everything fits.
I don’t know if anyone will remember but there was a time that forks were just vanishing in the house and I had no doubt that Uncleducey was throwing them away. MAYBE sometimes it was an accident because he was blind but I think he threw away stuff he didn’t like. But it went on for months, maybe years. And it appears that Murble over compensated while I was away, by buying more or maybe taking auntpretty1’s extras when she moved, but I avoid opening the utensil drawer because it’s a mad trap and there is always the risk of not being able to close it again. That’s just part of the charm of the Murbleage.
