#bojji

Kage's design. The idea for this comic started when I came up with a new character design for Kage. At first I've tried to copy the anime's art style instead of following my own, which is why Kage looks much younger here, maybe somewhere along the ages of 7 to 10. But I quickly decided that Kage acts more like a teen, so my later design for him showed him as more mature. I'm not sure on why I've decided to stick to the bitten ear, but it definitely gives him a more dangerous look! ~ And still, I like how silly he looked back then!

In my comic, Kage is from a far-away kingdom and traveled the world before meeting Bojji. Because of his unusual looks he sometimes attracts some unwanted attention to himself. His clothes are worn out and a bit tight on him, but he still wears them with pride as they remind him of his family. His most precious possession is his blue sash he got from his grandpa, who was a head of the Shadow clan. He values it so much that he rarely takes it off. Sometimes wind flows in such a way that it seems that sash floats on it's own. His hair is so greasy that it doesn't float in the wind no matter what, though. I'm not sure on why I've decided to stick to the bitten ear, but it definitely gives him a more dangerous look! ~

As for Bojji, I wanted to keep most of his original design and make him just a bit taller to fit into my art style. He comes roughly half of Kage's height, which is unusual given that they're nearly the same age. This is because Bojji has a form of dwarfism that doesn't let him grow too tall, or else he would be as tall as his giant parents! A small detail about his design is that his hair strand is facing the other way to diffirient him from the original Bojji! ☆

In the process of finding the perfect balance between the original and my own designs I've drawn a lot of sketches like these. They don't look great to me now, but this was a start.
