     The clomping tromps of metallic footwork. Badniks. And lots of them. Machines of all shapes and sizes rolling in by the droves...

     And just like that, with a whirl of blue? Half of the squadron was taken out. 

     Cacophonous detonations made the eardrums rock as popping explosions flung the supersonic blitzer this way and that! Riding each uproarious detonation for an extra fire-flung bout of speed, the threat at large would be neutralized one by one! Momentum his force, he was on his way to save the day!

     “Hang tight, Cream!” For he had seen a dear friend in danger. And not a soul in sight would hurt someone his heart beat so fiercely for. At least, not without one hell of a fight. 

     One after the next, a scattering of metal parts flung in response to the nigh unseeable display; unfathomable in its rate, eyes might find it hard to keep up with the arrange of unchallenged skill~. When finally, by a hedgehog’s skidding stop by the rabbit’s front, a brushing of the shoulder as dust finally settled.

     “An’ that’s a done deal! Now, Cream, are you   ?”

     ...Emerald sights blink at the wildly unfamiliar sight before them. That’s... th-that’s not... So then who was...? Sorry, beg your pardon?

     “You are... not... huh.” That hot feeling flushing through the cheeks. The red-tipped ears fanning outwards... An expression of pure stupefaction? Man, is that what embarrassment felt like? He... He totally pulled an Amy! And he officially owed the girl an apology for her past mixings of him and the likes of Shadow.

toya tilts his head,   trying to decipher the grin on mizuki’s face.   he supposes they are pretty,   objectively speaking,   but it’s not something he’s thought about before.   he’s certainly never implied he thinks of them as nothing but a pretty face,   but he also has an incredibly hard time figuring out when they’re joking and when they’re not   (   they always have to explicitly say they’re messing with him for him to get it   ).

he takes back the hoodie they’re holding out to him   (   he hadn’t noticed the ripped seam when he put it on,   but mizuki had and offered to fix it with the spare needle and thread in their bag   )   and shrugs it over his shoulders.

it’s silence that kyle gets from mila, just as it is every time he talks to her. it’s not that she doesn’t want to talk. it’s just that she can’t. but there’s still methods of communication, as kyle once again hands the notebook to her to write something down.

she spends a few moments scribbling something in the pages, and soon hands the notebook back to kyle.

The Waddle Dees had no time to celebrate, they were working extra hard tonight! Word got out that there were a few bummed out fighters and by their jobs they must keep spirits up! 

...Literally or else. If Master Hand catches wind of more fighters quitting the area it could be their heads on the stake. Course, one could question why he couldn’t use those clones.

But being oblivious to the cloning system of Smash, the Waddle Dees hurriedly got pasta ready and stews! Their peachy comrade was helping too.
