Booigi is facing away from him. He pauses, slowly turns, like a miniature globe on an axis, to stare at him. Then he swoops forward to smoosh the plumber man's face between his stubby hands, eyes wide.

"Luigi. Green bean. Green Mario. The Weeg. I couldn't give ya a hint even if I wanted to. I want ya out of this house more than anybody here. If I was in charge I'd stuff you in a box, stamp fragile, and boot you out the door. I'd charge extra for early pick-up."

and there's the unwitting bit of info: some of the boos aren't having fun anymore. They want this particular adventure over.

“  Couldn't  have  said  it  any  better  ,   zio  .   ”   He  doesn't  hold  back  the  amusement  in  his  voice  ,   letting  hearty  chuckles  carry  themselves  through  the  darkness  &   buzz  of  a  night's  storm  .     Outside  ,   the  trees  sway  violently  to  the  winds  &   the  rain  pounds  against  the  windows  and  roofs  .   It's  very  loud  and  intimidating  ,   he's  reminded  of  why  his  little  brother  isn't  the  biggest  fan  of  such  weather  .   And  although  he'd  like  to  maybe  go  out  &   challenge  the  storm  for  a  quick  rush  of  adrenaline  ,   he  had  a  problem  at  hand  to  solve  ,   that  being  the  sudden  blackout  all  thanks  to  the  storm  .   

It's  genuinely  bizarre  ,   given  how  their  power  supply  wasn't  connected  to  any  urban  lines  that  could  malfunction  under  the  rain  &   lightening  ,   and  with  Tails  spending  the  night  out  elsewhere  ,   Sonic  has  to  wear  the  mechanic  hat  tonight  .    But  hey  ,   they  could  figure  this  out  ,   one  step  at  a  time  ,   he  thinks  ,   taking  careful  steps  down  a  couple  stairs  to  the  live-in  lab's  main  space  ,   and  his  first  goal  was  to  find  a  flashlight  .     “  Don't  worry  zio  ,   we  just  gotta  find  the  emergency  generator  &   you'll  be  back  to  making  your  legendary  spaghetti  in  no  time  !   ”    This  was  the  most  exciting  part  of  the  night  ,   learning  how  to  cook  from  a  real  pro  !    The  promise  of  delicious  food  was  quite  motivating  ,   even  while  ...  well  ....   he  doesn't  remember  where  exactly  was  this  emergency  generator  ,     and  Tails  stores  a  whole  lot  of  different  machines  in  the  wildest  places  .

But  their  savior  arrives  in  the  flash  &   thundering  sound  of  the  storm  ,   which  was  frankly  so  unexpected  it  could  send  anyone  jumping  &   reeling  at  the  sight  of  bright  blue  eyes  glimmering  eerily  in  sync  ,   staring  soullessly  right  through  them  .     But  Sonic  only  stares  back  in  confusion  as  the  thunder  &   lightening  subdue  ,   and  the  bubbly  ,   autotuned  barks  of  a  certain  robot  puppy  could  be  heard  ,   that  when  when  he  realizes  it's  just  T-pup  ,   turns  out  he  also  forgot  that  Tails  didn't  take  her  along  tonight  .   He  feels  ridiculous  . 

“  T-pup  !   Have  you  been  here  all  along  ?   ”    The  hedgehog  laughes  in  abundance  of  relief  ,   kneeling  down  to  gently  pat  the  excited  little  friend  on  her  shiny  metallic  head  .     He  vaguely  wonders  what  the  small  puppy  was  up  to  in  the  overwhelming  darkness  .   But  then  a  light  bulb  flickers  to  life  in  his  mind  ,   as  bright  &   electric  as  the  deep  blue  shine  of  T-pup's  eyes  ,   which  are  the  only  things  visible  in  the  room  right  now  ,   and  which  he  knows  could  be  utilized  as  flashlights  .   “  T-pup  could  help  !     She  knows  the  way  around  every  one  of  our  workshops  even  better  than  I  do  ,   ain't  that  right  girl  ?  ”    He  talks  to  both  Luigi  &   the  robotic  pet  with  profound  enthusiasm  ,   which  the  puppy  returns  in  excited  noises  &   yips  ,   and  she  takes  the  lead  ,   turning  up  the  brightness  of  her  eyes  and  illuminating  the  place  significantly  ,   it's  almost  a  bit  creepy  ,   but  Sonic  is  far  more  distracted  by  his  relief  over  the  dinner  that  could  be  saved  .

     You can smell it in the air; the earth, sky, and everything in between bracing itself for the downpour that was yet to come. Striding side-by-side with his big little brother, steps couldn't help but slacken their stride a little bit, arms lacing behind the back of the head as sights scanned upward. Even if such could be said for a lot of things on this planet, the plumber loved a good rainstorm!

     He could remember when their mamma would call his name aplenty, trying her best to rein in the rowdier of the twins to come inside before the rain started to fall. Because if he was gonna linger outside in the storm, then he'd better stay out there until the clouds went on their way and he could dry off after, because under no circumstances would she let her floors and rugs be turned into swimming pools! Boy, did that light a fire under the red-brimmed kid's behind!

     Ah~, a small sigh of pleasant recollection would loosen, grinning at the funny little scene replaying inside his head. But with the nostalgia, the warning of getting wet would reverberate about the skull even now! Even if the plumber didn't mind getting wet in the slightest, it was best to save the washing machine the effort of cleaning yet another load of waterlogged overalls. It got quite the workout from Mario's pile of work clothes as is!

     Behind his short and stout form would gloves reach, prying around for the umbrella the weatherman had told any and all listeners to prep. He would... pat his sides, looking for his... umbrella. Look back at the snack stand the brothers had recently left, wondering if he had set it down? N-No? He looks under his shoe, he lifts his cap and fishes around on the inside, he looks on the insides of his overalls, he—!

     ...He coughs into his fist, sky-blue eyes shifting over slowly, and only a little guiltily, to the greener of the two.

     "Say, Weegie? Mio fratello, my bestest, most beloved brother in'a 'da whole wide world!"

               "i'm  ready,  weeg."  daisy  announced,  nodding  --  a  look  of  determination  on  her  face.  today  was  her  first  day  on  luigi's  ghost  hunting  team,  and  she  was  DETERMINED  to  make  a  good  impression  --  and  to catch  some  ghosties,  of  course!

               she'd  been  hinting  to  luigi  FOREVER  that  she  wanted  to  do  this.  she'd  been  studying  ghosts  and  boos  on  her  own  time,  scouring  all  through  the  castle's  resources  to  find  as  much  information  as  she  could.  she  even  asked  luigi  about  all  of  his  adventures  --  he  had  SO  MANY!  she  had  to  admit  she  was  envious  --  she  wanted  that  kind  of  excitement  in  her  life.

Perhaps a bit of his residual shyness showed through today however, because rather than address Luigi immediately, he'd instead gone to look at and greet the peculiar creature he called his friend. It was bipedal like a seikret, probably a small bird wyvern or even a brute wyvern . . . but its face looked so plush and chubby, and it had . . . boots?

"You're about the strangest monster I've ever seen." He greeted with a smile, grey eyes sparkling with curiosity. "Welcome to our base camp."
