Ok so I was watching a couple Deltarune theory videos post-chapter 5 and they brought up the gaster/eggman issue (as in, we donât know if the eggman/forgotten man is the same as gaster or not) so i started thinking why is it not widely accepted the two are the same? And I remember one of the main arguments as to why they are different is the âCOMPLETED WITHOUT ISSUEâ achievements in the console version:
As a summary, these are the achievements for completing each chapter in console, BUT! You only get these achievements if you DO NOT get the egg.
If you get the eggs in all chapters (and thus do not get any of the âCOMPLETE WITHOUT ISSUEâ achievements), you get additional gaster(?) dialogue:
INTERESTING.
YOU FAILED
TO ACHIEVE
ANY MARKS.
WHAT
ARE
YOU?
"(playername)"
I VERY MUCH
LOOK FORWARD
TO THE NEXT.
Many take this dialogue to confirm gaster and the forgotten man/egg man are different, since Gaster seems to regard the eggs as issues, problems. BUT this is exactly what i want to look at, because the voice does not seem to imply they are unwantedâ to the contrary the voice is happy these issues were encountered. And they look forward to the next! Just as the forgotten man urges Kris to go back for the unobtained eggs, both him and gaster seem to WANT the player to get all eggs.
And this, in conjunction with the fact that itâs suspected gaster was the royal scientist AND the idea that Deltarune is his experimentâ I think these âissuesâ were never problems: instead they could be variables!!
Picture this: this voice, gaster, speaks of Deltarune as an experiment, has referred to it as a test or similar multiple times, so it is his experiment. He observes the events play out, as a researcher should, to report how things work and pan out. But in every good experiment you need to have a point of comparison, no? A control group.
So I am of the opinion that a ânormalâ run of Deltarune, no eggs involved, is the âcontrol groupâ; normal readings, expected outcomes, etc. no issues.
While a run collecting the eggs is unexpected, a new development, an âissueâ, yes, but in the sense of being a divergence from the norm, exactly what a researcher is looking for. Thatâs why he comments on it, not because he hates the âegg manâ, but because thereâs finally been a variable group in which the eggs he placed, the variables he is testing, have been obtained. Maybe âno marksâ is the outcome he wanted to find. The âinterestingâ outcome (he does show MORE interest when you have obtained more eggs, regardless of how he refers to it).
So that takes us to think, what is he testing for? My personal guess is that heâs researching the ability of the Deltarune characters to break out of bounds, or the ability of individuals to surpass barriers (lol) or obstacles in general, to get to places âin betweenâ.
That does leave the question of Chapter 5 Wierd Route ending as the MOST out of bounds it can get, and you canât really get all the eggs in the weird route, so itâs not perfect⌠but it was something I had rattling around in my brain for a bit.
So in conclusion, Gaster IS the Forgotten Man/ Egg Man, Deltarune is his experiment, and he wants us to break away from the status quo of the control groups (âCOMPLETE WITHOUT ISSUEâ files) by getting the eggs and proving we can break out of bounds. Thanks for coming to my ted talk :)

âAnd with a groan, the ship sinks below the waves,â Eddie says.
âHang on,â Dustin says. âSo weâre in the lifeboat, but Lady Applejack and Sir Stephan are still in the water?â
âThat is correct.â
âOkay, well, I want to help them. I hold out my oar to Lady Applejack.â
Eddie rolls.Â
âYou hold out your oar to Lady Applejack, and she grabs it, and climbs aboard. Sheâs shivering, but otherwise unharmed.â
âI want to help Sir Stephan,â Erica says.Â
âThank you,â Steve says. Eddie nods and rolls again.
âSir Stephan Volfhair climbs out of the water, shirtless, the fabric of his pants clinging to hisââ
âWoah woah woah!â Erica says. âWho are you, Jane Austin?âÂ
Eddie narrows his eyes at her.Â
âFirst of all, donât disrespect Jane. Second of all, I am simply setting the scene.â
âFor the record, I think youâre doing an excellent job,â Steve says.
âThank you.â Eddie falls back into his narrative voice. âThe sea beast has spotted you!â Groans of dismay from the gang. âIt rounds on you, itâs red eyes bulging, fangs dripping with blood!â
âPunch it!â Steve shouts. The gang turns to look at him. âPunch it in the face!â
âThatâs your action?â Eddie asks.
âYeah.â
âRoll strength, then.â
Steve rolls.
âTwelve?â
âSir Stephan Volfhair lifts his mighty hand, his bare hairy chest wet with sea water, his muscles glistening in the moonlightââ
âOh my god do you mind?â Mike snaps.Â
âI donât mind,â Steve says, grinning.
âIâm the one in charge here,â Eddie says. âI set the scene.â
Mike huffs and rolls his eyes.Â
âHis mighty fist comes down across the beast's neck and it lets out a howl of agony! Itâs slowed down, but not yet dead. Sir Michael. What do you do?â
âI stab it with my sword.â He rolls and cheers. âNatural twenty!â
âExcellent! Sir Michael stabs the serpent. It dies.â
The Plumes. The people who savagely prey on the innocence, child, female, elderly, a man. Anyone they deemed vulnerable.

wrong.
Hearing the armor clanking down the ground, I desperately tried hiding. But I felt paralyzed. The person standing before me, was the same person that I entrusted my life too, including giving away my authorization of my command spell.
So that was the end huh.
I shouldnât have done that.Â
In the end, it was a crime of passion. A spur of the moment. I completely lost it when I did. It was too late.

Note: (I am already in the middle of writing Damian and fear gas fic). This was inspired by a Batman Detective Comics #995 comic panel that I saw once on tumblr, about Damian operating on Bruceâs and Alfredâs lungs.
Shout out to @cdelphiki for helping me find the panel! She is an amazing writer and did not mind helping me in the slightest, so go follow her on tumblr and AO3 (same name for both)! <3
I donât have a set time for this one so letâs say, after Super Sons and the Grayson comics. Maybe after Things Left Unsaid? If you want this to be in the same verse.Â
Robin was patrolling with Superboy when the call came in from Alfred, âMaster Robin, your skills are needed immediately at the Cave, there is a medical emergency, and I am afraid of it being beyond my abilities.â
âUnderstood. Will report ETA as soon as possible. Keep them stable till I get there,â Robinâs quick reply, then turned towards to Superboy, âWe are going to test your flight ability with a passenger. Get me to Gotham, more specifically the Batcave as fast as possible,â he ordered.
Superboy looks startled, âButâ"
âSuperboy, there is an emergency that is above Penny-Oneâs abilities, with Dr. Thompkins out of the country, means that I am the closest, capable hands, if you cannot get me there in under five minutes, I will call your father,â Robin informs.
Superboyâs face hardens with determination, âUnder five minutes? Easy.â
When the boys reached Gotham, Robin directed Superboy a hidden entrance to the Cave and began to tear off his gloves and mask. By the time they reached the actual cave, Bruce was waiting for them and Robin was already asking, âWhat happened? I need to know every detail.â
âItâs Dick, he was working on a case when Deathstroke got a hold of him,â Bruce recited, âMultiple defensive cuts on his arms and legs, heavy bruising on his chest, arms, and legs, one stab wound to the lower abdomen.â Both bats were running to the medbay as they spoke, not wasting any time, because if they do Dick could die.
âAny poisons? Any previous injuries to that area?â
âNone, and not that I know of.â
âWait here, I will get you when Iâm done,â Damian ended the conversation curtly and before Bruce could protest, âMore people in there, the bigger risk for infection, Pennyworth is the best to help me succeed. Stay out,â then he walked through the curtains that separate Dick from the rest of the Cave.
Damian enters the curtained off of the medbay expecting blood, much blood in fact- but when he doesnât, he lets a small breath go and begins to sanitize his hands, last thing Dick needs is an infection. âReport,â he says curtly, needing something to fill the silence.
âStab wound, just below and right of the navel, nicking the ileum part of the small intestines- no major damage, but bleeding heavily, I have tried my best to replace the blood he has lost,â Alfred lists quickly as he prepares everything Damian could need, Damian puts plastic gloves on and Alfred wraps a surgery gown over his uniform.
âHrn⌠the other injuries?â Damian questions, needing something to focus on other than his panic. He can panic after he is done, when Dick is not bleeding out on the table in front of him, when Damian is alone and free of other people.
Alfred seems to realize this and continues on, âI have them either stitched up or covered with a liquid bandage, cannot have him bleed anymore.â
âAgreed, thank you Pennyworth. Now, letâs begin.â
âOf course, Master Damian.â
Halfway through the surgery Damian can hear Jon and Bruce arguing and spares a look over at Alfred and notices that Alfred is just as annoyed, âIf you could inform our audience that Grayson is about fifty percent finished and their silence is requested, I would appreciate it, Pennyworth. Though I am trained to work with distractions, I would rather not.â
Alfred swiftly nods his head and turns to the curtain, âOf course, Master Damian. Anything you require before I leave and return?â
âSome music, if you could. My phone is resting on the counter, just put it on shuffle. If Father and Kent do not quiet down, then I can drown them out.â Alfred leaves when the smooth notes of a violin begin to play and Damianâs shoulders begin to relax after a couple of minutes. âNow, Grayson, do not die on me again.â
When Alfred returns, Damian is stitching up the last of Dickâs wounds, and leaves the tools on the tray, feeling heaviness in his bones- his exhaustion finally taking precedence in his mind. âI have finished, Pennyworth. You should look over everything, of course, but my recommendation is one month of complete bedrest then light exercise. I would say two months of bedrest but with it being Grayson⌠However, when Dr. Thompkins is back in the Untied States, she will need take a look and an official plan,â Damian informs the caretaker, taking his gloves and gown off, then washing his hands again.
âThank you very much, Master Damian. I will take your consul into consideration,â Alfred says warmly, then placing a hand on the teenâs shoulder, âPerhaps it is time for bed?â
Damian nods his head, âI will write my report, shower, then sleep. I do not know when the doctor is going to be here and I need to be as through as possible. Would you mind if I take my phone?â At Alfredâs refusal, Damian grabs his phone and exits the room, immediately surrounded by Bruce, Clark, and Jon, âThe surgery was a success, the stab only nicked the ileum, so heavy blood loss and no septic shock due to the quick response we all had. I expect Grayson to make a full recover and at least one month of complete bedrest then light exercise. Father, Dr. Thompkins needs to look over him for an official order, but it looks like we all were lucky tonight,â Damian reports. Bruceâs and Clarkâs shoulders slump slightly at the good news, but Jon still looks worried making Damian curious, âWhat is wrong, Kent?â
âHow are you doing Damian? You just operated on your brother,â Jon inquires, making Damian eyes widen ever so slightly.
âI am fine, thank you. Now, if you excuse me, I have to make a report,â Damianâs voice is not harsh but is hard, and that usually means he is lying.
Jonâs eyes trail after him as Damian walks away.
Dick wakes up the next afternoon, feeling off-balance and in pain. He takes a minute to organize his thoughts and his senses: smells fresh laundered sheets, Kevlar, sweat, and blood, hears the beeping of a heart monitor and deep, heavy breathing, feels a slightly hard mattress, soft sheets, a weight in his hand, and pain everywhere. When he pieces it together he knows where he is: the Batcave medbay. So, he opens his eyes and feels the light pierce his eyes and grumbles, âOw. What theââ
Apparently, that wakes Damian up and he bites out, âYou were stabbed in the abdomen, nicked you ileum and had surgery to sew it back together. Do not get up.â Dick nods at the order and Damian stands up turning the light dimmer lower then brings a small straw to Dickâs lips, âIâm going to ask you questions, answer them as best you can. What is your name?â Dick answers, Damian asks a couple more questions which Dick answers correctly- then, âI will inform Father of your progress.â
But Dick doesnât want to be alone, so he requests, âCan that wait? IâIâm not in the mood for a lecture at the moment and my stomach is all I can think of at the moment.â
Damian huffs a breath out and ups the morphine drip, âI will hold off on calling Father, but only because I am too tired to get up.â
That makes Dick raise an eyebrow, âWhat have you been up to, Dami?â
Damian scoffed and replies, âSaving your utter ridiculous ass, Grayson. Who do you think sewed you back together? Dr. Thompkins is out of the country and Alfredâs hands could not stop shaking; so, they called me for emergency surgery.â
Dickâs eyes shoot open, âYou did- on me- but thatââ
Rolling his eyes at Dickâs stuttering, Damian stood from the chair, âScoot over, Grayson, I refuse to sleep in that chair any longer.â After processing all of the information, Dick moves to one side of the bed, inviting Damian to lay down beside him. Which is exactly what the teen did- laying his head on Dickâs uninjured shoulder and grasping Dickâs wrist in his hand, feeling the older manâs pulse against his fingertips, âYou will be on bedrest for one month, at least, no complaining. Dr. Thompkins is on a flight back to Gotham as we speak and until then you have to listen to Pennyworth and me.â
Dick smiles into the boyâs hair, âOkay, Little D.â
âOf course, Grayson, I was not about to let you die on my table.â After a few minutes, and Dick thinking about going back to sleep when Damianâs voice spoke up quietly- hesitantly, âGrayson?â
âYes?â Dick whispers back.
âDo not leave me again.â
Dick feels Damianâs hand tighten around his wrist, feels his chest wet with tears, prompting Dick wanting nothing more than to promise the world for this boy in his arms, but canât. So, he does his best and brushes his hands through Damianâs hair and says, âI promise, I will do everything in my power to return to you, Damian. But that means you canât leave me either.â
From a bit of my writing that inspired this:
âJesse was stopped in his tracks like a startled doe when he came face to face with proof that everything Ike said was true. The face in front of him was scantily powered, so naturally lovely and delicate that Jesse feared breathing too hard to break it. The lips and eyes were so minimal, like lines on those favorite oriental paintings he owned, tipped with red but just barely. The dark black hair of those lashes⌠it was hypnotic. Jesse thought the face was a girlâs at firstâ but no. When Jesse saw that distinct adamâs apple on that slender neck, Jesse felt his face get hot. Such lovely pale skin beneath that silk robe that was so dark it was like early wine in color, gleaming violet in the low light. Ike hadnât been wrongâ beauty effervescent and visceral.â

I was on my way to work this morning, sat on the window side of the bus and a guy with a tattoo star near his ear sat beside me.
He unintentionally sat on my jacket and then I said "excuse me" (pulling off my jacket from his edge."Â
While listening to my music, I took my phone out from my bag and continued on my bible reading at the book of Acts chapter 21. In my peripheral, I saw that he took out his phone and checked something then placed it back on his pocket and sat back.
So I continued reading... On the mid part of Acts 23, I started to feel sleepy, so I paused, sat back and listened to my music.
While pondering on the melodies in my ear, I glanced at this guy beside me and saw that he was now reading on his device. I got curious and tried to peek at what he was reading, then I saw him sincerely reading the bible, at the book of Acts chapter 21. Ha! That was cool.Â
Did I just infected that guy? Did he got curious about what story tells on Acts? Or was it just on his "today's reading"?Â
So I was about to get off the bus, and peeked at his reading again, he was already on Acts 23. :)
The phone call that was received was more than unexpected. Â
Eris Klytemnestri to the general public was nothing more than the Chairwoman of Pantheon. The worldâs leader in animal and land research and conservation.  The Chairwoman was the face of change and preservation; restoring and maintaining the existence of the globes ecosystems by any means necessary even if it meant using force.Â
That is what the general public knew of Chairwoman Eris Klytemnestri.  What they didnât know was a harsh and cruel truth. Eris âHarbingerâ Klytemnestri was the current Chairwoman of Umbrella Corporation, formerly known as the worldâs leader in Pharmaceutical research, now the worldâs largest producer of Bio Organic Weaponry.  The company was exposed in 1990s for what it truly was. Since then its existence had been purged underground; the actions being covered as humanitarian work by the Pantheon.
The Bio Organic Weapons that were produced by the hands of Umbrella and the Chairwoman had slipped unto the black market within the first years of Umbrella Corporationâs dismantle and rebirth.  This resulted in copycat organizations popping up left and right using their work for their own gain. Or so they thought. Each organization had failed to have the resources to keep the viruses and their subjects under control. Resulting in mass outbreaks, or B.O.W.s running rapid in public.  What those failed to realize was that each viruses we never a simple as they. If you utilize was viral strain or plaga, one must be prepared to call upon the second or third compounding additives. Â
It was a double bladed sword with the Black Market. Eris hated that viruses were in the hands of the ignorant and foolish on the other hand, it was a bargaining tool to be used against the government. She would offer her assistance at a high price and offer tools to equal out the power struggle within international community.  She was the great equalizer.Â
The phone call was something that she wasnât ready for. Alexander Pierce formally requested a meeting with her in a place of his disclosure. Eris was well versed on the members of the World Council. She had to. The Chairwoman couldnât afford to be ignorant to potential enemies. The World Council had a strict reputation for peace under most reasonable methods.  The question stood: Why was he contacting her? If it were some preservation work that needed to be done then why not meet at her office?Â
Those questions wouldnât be answered over the phone. The Chairwoman did what she did best, look as if she were the pillar of peace while beneath a beast ready to wage war.   She agreed to meet Pierce with the highest possibilities of war in mind but that would be carefully buried.  Eris had her subordinates chauffeur her to the location in her typical black unmarked Hummer.  Hummerâs werenât the best for the environment but they were the easiest to convert into a battle ready vehicle.
Once there, Eris met Pierce outside of what appeared to be a normal operation office building. The Chairwoman smiled brightly and stretched out her hand as she walked towards. âMr. Pierce, pleasure to meet you in person. I understand you need my expertise on something?â
