You may not love her but you have an attachment that cannot be forgotten. Otherwise, you would have probably treated her like any normal passerby. It doesn’t have to be love; maybe sentiment. But if it was, then you should ask if you really want to think of her as if she never happened in your life? Do you not have anything to thank her for? If you have, the least you could do is not to avoid her completely. Even if it breaks your heart every time.

I think you can watch eternal sunshine from 3 perspectives that change your opinion on forgetting someone; •in a relationship •just out of a relationship •after a long period of time out of that relationship
There's really no short cut to forgetting someone. You just have to endure missing them every day until you don't anymore

Moving on doesn't mean forgetting someone. It simply means going on with your life until one day you wake up and realize you don't miss that person anymore.

Tips on forgetting someone
Don't try to erase someone out of your life all at once because the simplest thing such as nostalgia will trick you into thinking that things weren't as bad as you made it out to be. Do it little by little and you will feel much better. Start off by deleting their text messages. DO NOT READ THEM, you will lie to yourself when reading them, and start reminiscing. DO NOT by any means necessary view their snapchat story, you will only hurt yourself more. Also don't look who views YOUR snapchat story because you'll find yourself looking for their name. Just assume that everyone saw it. This goes for other social media sites Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and even Tumblr. Do not check them, just like snapchat, you will only be hurting yourself. If you happened to run into their posts, shares or tweets say "good for them" or "shit happens" and keep it moving. If you can't bare to see them, then unfriend, unfollow them, it's only social media. You can do it. Keep busy, find a hobby something that requires your almost full attention. While keeping busy, IF and that's a big if, they text or call you, keep it short and simple or ignore them and get back to your hobby and working on you. PAMPER YOURSELF, do whatever you can to make you feel sexy, cute, beautiful. Look in the mirror and say "I'm the shit" there's absolutely nothing wrong with that, because the one person who deserves that kinda love is you, and you only. Work on yourself. Like wounds, it's gonna take some time to heal, and it will heal. A piece of you has been ripped away, and you must tend to that wound and keep it from getting infected by some bullshit. Soon it'll be just a tiny scar.
Burn away like the memories I exhale.
