Dear brain,
I know the idea of playing tiefling paladin on a quest to ride the world of a demon who happens to be their parent sounds like the set up for a truly epic quest, but where was that energy at the start of the session?
My husband - the forever DM
My husband is our forever DM, and I have offered to take control of the next campaign. It’s going to be on the theme of overthrowing power structures and revolution. Think Les Mis with magic. Anyway, he is so SUPER pumped to actually be a PC, that he has already come up with four possible characters. They are:
1. Trans himbo Elend Venture (Mistborn)
2. Killian but an orphan who wants to kill all nobles (The Adventure Zone)
3. Sheppard Book, but an actual aasimar who is ‘hazy on kneecaps’ (Firefly)
4. A non-binary autistic-spectrum warforged wild sorcerer who can lie but only if they is given an hour to sit down and plan it out. Otherwise they suck (???)
Anyway he is very cross that he only gets to pick one of these. I have reliably informed him that if he wants to play more characters, that’s called being the DM. He is unimpressed.
