Hi! I was the one who asked you about the over preening issue, heās doing a lot better than before. Iāve been teaching him how to shake hands (or foot) with me, Iāve been introducing him to new foods like lettuce and carrots. I also got my dad to cover his cage less every time he makes noise, but this was possible because Iām on break. I donāt know how Iāll keep him distracted from preening too much while Iām at school, but Iāll figure it out. I made him a rope made of newspaper for him to shred (heās still scared of it though) thanks for the advice!
Oh I forgot to mention in the pic I sent that you can see where he plucked at, it's growing back though! Submitted by; @aotthoughts

American burnweed is Erechites hieraciifolius, an edible North American herb with a strong aroma and a very assertive flavor.
I havenāt cooked with it yet, but I gathered some the day before yesterday. It is growing all over the place in the woods to the side of the house, popping up in the middle of swathes of muscadine vines together with shiso, pokeweed, and American beautyberry bushes.
