@staff I've gotten a huge upsurge in spam accounts following me in the past 48 hours or so. It's incredibly annoying and I've reported these but also sent a bug report / help / contact email to Tumblr because I want them to address this centrally.

There are so many spam followers that I can't easily see new people who follow me in the mix.

I wish I could do more to deal with this but it's frustrating, it's so time-consuming even to report these, the spam reporting functionality is too slow to be useful, like because the spam reporting button opens a new tab AND requires me to click a couple buttons, AND it's slow to respond, it typically takes over 5 seconds to report these. When I'm waking up to 24+ of these spam follows, it's a huge waste of my time.

Like I literally had to scroll through THREE pages of this garbage to find the last real account that followed me. Very quickly my follow page is going to be unusable and my follower count meaningless.

I mean, I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve had to block a user with a bikini woman for a pfp, not to mention some consist of some “questionable” posts and reblogs.

For the past few months, this has been growing into more of a problem. Tumblr needs to put a stop to this, because at the rate, who’s to say whatever people are following us are finding some way to steal our personal information?!
