Follo/Alan has so much potential I cannot believe there's only one fic about them. Alan was the one who dreamed of being a Giver, and he couldn't. He hates himself, he's clearly depressed. But his dream inspired Follo and eventually he became a giver and a part of his damn soul is named ALAN.
Except, Follo actually looks down on Alan. He works harder specifically to not end up like him. Follo's like, one of the most flawed characters in Gachiakuta. He's envious, he looks down on others, he does self-reflect to an extent but he does hold a lot of biases. Him getting Alan the Vital Instument is not for Alan the Boy. Like a lot of his rise to being a Giver is rooted around his disdain for Alan the Boy, but ultimately he's such a core part of who Follo is.
Alan also would definitely hate him, and unlike Follo, there's probably not gonna be any miracle unlockings the way there was with Rudo on Follo's soul(?). The resentment has no place to go. The absolute LEGENDARY love story these two could be so..... OOOH it is juicy.
