post ts ; Used to be when he was still in training, but being in Marley has completely shut him down, itâs safer for him to not talk all too much here. Less chances for someone to have a problem with him then.
2. Is their voice quiet or loud?
post ts ; Used to be loud! But as said previously, that got beat down, heâs way more soft-spoken but still loud enough so that no one gives him shit for not talking loud enough. But if needed, he can bring back his very loud speech from back in training.
3. Do they have unusual speech patterns?
post ts ; I do not believe he does.
4. Do they have an accent or dialect?
post ts ; See now this is not canon to the show but in FOAS I have it so that people from Paradis have a lightly different accent than people from Liberio. And because of that Zeke decided to give Isaak the birthplace of Odiha, cause I had decided that I will just pretend people from Odiha have a lightly similar accent to people from Paradis. Now this makes me rethink shit, wouldnât the warriors get some type of accent from being in Paradis, or maybe they kept their Liberio accents in Paradis cause Paradis just doesnât think about accents all too muchâŠ? They recognize it though cause Sasha. New thing to think about.
Simply said: Isaak is acknowledged to have a lightly different accent than the rest from Liberio.

post ts ; Left-handed! With two missing fingers on that hand!

post ts ; Before losing his pinkie and ring finger his hand writing used to just be average, itâs readable, more on the messier side possibly. After losing those two fingers, his hand writing got quite a bit messier, and also considering the writing system should be different in Marley, that would most likely mean that his hand writing might be even messier because heâs learning a new writing system too.
8. Do they draw/paint a lot?
post ts ; Nope. Never had an interest.
9. Are they good or bad at making handicrafts?
post ts ; I would say heâs good. Iâm still unsure on if he, I can stop being unsure I can literally just reread shit. It was not canon before, I say it is now. Isaak enjoys wood carving. Itâs a good thing for him to mess around after the loss of the two fingers. And taking into consideration that he is missing two fingers and can still carve out something recognizable, then I would say that he is decently good at that stuff.
10. Do they need their hands occupied a lot? If so, what do they do?
post ts ; Heâs always been fine with not having his hands occupied, and heâs even more so fine with not having them occupied right now. In Marley especially he recognizes that it would be better for him if he didnât look jittery. What he does enjoy doing with his hands though is having something to grip with it, and his sides arenât as useful for that for him. Usually he tends to hold onto the strap of his rifle bag, or if in the trenches with the rifle out, the rifle itself. At home if heâs being supervised by any of the Warriors, he would be holding onto the knife that he uses for carving, and if supervised by someone who he doesnât trust as much, then absolutely no knife and instead just the corner of the table, the backrest of a chair, anything really.

11. What's their favorite food/least favorite food?
post ts ; I feel horrible always skipping this type of question, but I genuinely need to think so much about this because I personally am a very picky eater and I would have to truly just research a lot of different type of foods he could possibly have just so I could pick something out for him LMAO. So no answer for this.
12. Are they a picky eater?
post ts ; Not at all! He tends to eat whatever heâs offered really.
13. Any food they avoid for reasons other than taste?
post ts ; Nah, he has no problems with food smells or textures.
14. How are their table manners?
post ts ; Heâs got good manners! His father taught him to show proper table manners and he kept it up both in training and while in Marley, one more thing he doesnât want to do randomly so that no one can get a chance to have a problem with it.
15. Do they rather eat too much or too little?
post ts ; He eats a bit more than average, for one he is a big guy, 6â4â and what, 240 lbs? He needs proper meals. But also he just eats more purely because he is offered more, they have more food in Marley than in Paradis I imagine, that whole thing isnât as scarce as back home. So if he is offered more than average, he will eat more than average.
16. Do they prefer to eat alone or with company?
post ts ; He likes being able to eat alone but thatâs extremely rare because you know, heâs a âthreatâ and they have to always keep an eye on him. But most of the need to eat alone for him comes after he gets shot in his cheek because he just hates people seeing the cheek scar.
17. Are they good at cooking?
post ts ; Heâs decent! Not anything exceptional but he knows how to cook because his father didnât allow him to just always be fed and did indeed teach him how to properly cook something for himself that isnât horrible to eat.

post ts ; Absolutely an insomniac, sleep comes very hard to him.

post ts ; Nope.

post ts ; During training he got used to sleeping around others in the bunk bed type of way. Currently, prefers sleeping alone.

post ts ; Most often runs on 4 hours of sleep. And also tends to subconsciously wake up at the same time as Reiner.

post ts ;Â Surprisingly not. Isaak loves throwing little digs at Reiner over the betrayal but they donât actually argue.

post ts ;Â Not Isaak thatâs for sure.

post ts ;Â Maaaan, thatâs one thing that Isaak does not have Reiner beat over. Reinerâs got his own crazy problems that Isaak canât ever top. Reinerâs the one insecure over his worth and struggling with his identity. Isaak shockingly knows his worth well enough.
who gets more riled up? do they show their anger?Â
post ts ;Â Isaak gets more riled up, yeah. And he does show his anger, thatâs really the one big emotion that he mostly freely shows to Reiner.
how do they hide their pain when theyâre upset? do they try to hide their pain?
post ts ;Â I feel like a broken record by this point but itâs just how it is, Isaak obviously hides any pain or upset heâs feeling and he does that by just plainly bottling it up. It slips out at times in anger towards Reiner but mostly itâs bottled up and hidden away cause heâs not wanting to deal with showing that type of vulnerability.
who tries to make up first? does it work?
post ts ;Â Reiner tries to make up first because heâs the one that created the problem. And of course it doesnât work.

post ts ;Â Absolutely not, Isaak wouldnât want Reiner touching him that way.

post ts ;Â Isaak, yes. Holds a grudge, and to be fair grudge sounds like too small of a word for the situation. And it is extremely hard for Isaak to let go or forgive because at the end of the day, the thing he holds a âgrudgeâ against completely uprooted his life. He has to be angry at something, he has to hold onto the anger/pain.
is there something big that could potentially tear them apart if it was revealed?Â
post ts ;Â If it was revealed? If itâs in the way of if something hidden In canon was revealed, then no. The big thing that shouldâve fully teared them apart already happened, and they still stuck together (even if it wasnât exactly by choice.) But if answering just if there is something big that could tear them apart, then the only thing that could do that is if Isaakâs father got killed and it turned out to be Reinerâs fault. Thatâs the only thing that could tear them fully apart in canon, everything else with forced proximity they got over.
if something already happened to tear them apart, what would make them come back together? is it even possible?
post ts ;Â What would make them continue being around each other already got answered, itâs forced proximity. If there wasnât forced proximity they wouldnât have stuck around each other, the circumstances of everything made them stick around each other, obviously. But for them to actually Get Back Together, Isaak would need healing time. Thatâs the main reason why even after 4 years of being around each other they havenât gotten really any closer romantically. Because Isaakâs not getting his time to heal from the bullshit he went through regarding Reiner and being thrown out.

post ts ; I donât have a clue. Though I think I can make up an answer without forcing it. Mmm⊠To be honest they donât really have down time all that much once they join into the war fully, and so most of the time if theres some type of upset there, they donât have anything to do other than just push it off and away. But if thereâs down time, I can imagine Isaak enjoying going at it with his rifle, some practice. Maybe also a bit of wood carving, did I make that canon or did I just make it up in my head,,,?

post ts ;Â No one.

post ts ;Â Oh itâs borderline impossible for Isaak to talk about any feelings heâs feeling with Reiner, openly, truthfully and without anger coming through. At the current stage, there isnât anything that can be done to fix that I donât think.

post ts ;Â Reiner again. Heâs way too worried about Isaak when heâs away from him.

post ts ;Â Reiner misses Isaakâs laugh. Isaak misses the Reiner he had before everything went to shit, he misses the trust he held for him romantically.

post ts ;Â Used to be Isaak, in the way that Reiner would get to know about the jealousy. But by now, I think they are both quite equally jealous, I see Reiner as probably showing it a bit more easily than Isaak though.

Thatâs the short version. But Isaak yeah in a way regrets falling for Reiner because as said hundreds of times before, that flipped his whole life upside down in the most negative way possible and he really wishes that could have never happened.
Reiner in his own way regrets falling for Isaak because of what his falling for him put Isaak through.

post ts ;Â Neither. Isaak at this point is just not the type to walk away and Reiner thinks that heâs not really allowed to and he just has to take whatever Isaak dishes out.

post ts ; Just protect? Reiner is more likely to protect Isaak. To Isaak, Reiner is capable of protecting himself. To Reiner, he knows Isaak could protect himself but he just wants to protect Isaak for one, and for two he sees Isaak as like⊠the more vulnerable one? Not physically, god no. But just considering heâs seen as this threatening to-be-guarded-at-all-times thing, and Reinerâs seen as a true warrior who has a titan in his control, he think itâs safer for him to protect Isaak than for Isaak to protect himself.

post ts ;Â Reiner. Isaak doesnât worry all too much about injuries cause you know, the whole thing of Reiner being a titan and regenerating from any damn wound. And Isaak isnât like that, he can get hurt, and that hurt will stay there, it can make Isaak incapacitated, it can have permanent effects on him. And thatâs not good when they both know that if Isaak isnât capable of performing his duties on the field with his rifle, then what good is he.

post ts ;Â I feel horrible constantly answering questions with âbothâ or âneitherâ but bro thatâs just how it is. They both have their own reasons for why they are so extremely terrified of the other oneâs death. For Reiner itâs just the fear of losing Isaak without anything else attached to it, he loves him, he doesnât want to lose him. So his reason is more simple. For Isaak itâs a bit different because for him if Reiner died, that would mean Isaakâs 1. Completely alone. He would have nothing left anymore from Paradis. And 2. That âaloneâ wouldnât matter all too much when they could just kill him more freely. Heâs scared to die. If Reiner dies, itâs very likely Isaak would be gone too.

post ts ;Â Isaak is the more likely culprit to yell. And since they already donât argue much, thereâs not many moments for Isaak to yell, but he has done it a bit.

post ts ;Â Both are very likely to save each other, I really canât pick which one be the one more likely cause they really both try their hardest to keep each other safe on the field

post ts ;Â Both, but more often Isaak.

post ts ;Â Reiner has more nightmares about Isaak. Actually got a whole scene where Reiner has a nightmare, that heâs had dozens of times before already, where Isaak dies right in front of him. The nightmares get worse after any bigger injury on the field. But also Isaak too has nightmares about Reiner from time to time, for him though itâs just the repeat of the betrayal. But there is also a scene where Isaak has a nightmare in which Reiner calls him a âblunder in his missionâ :)

post ts ;Â Neither of them comfort each other really. Reiner thought at one point tries to seek some type of comfort, reassurance about stuff that relate to the dream. But Isaak doesnât give much of his comfort there.

post ts ;Â They think about each other all the time even on the battlefield, but they are both skilled enough to not let any of that thinking cloud their judgment on the field.

Speech Patterns :: After his GSW to the face, he speaks with a lisp.
Comfort Item :: His Carcano rifle. In Marley, after being left with nothing from his own home apart from the relationship with Reiner, his rifle becomes the one item that brings him comfort, because itâs the only thing that is meant to be truly his own.
Weapons :: His Carcano rifle. He has two of them, one being his spare.
Threat Level :: Due to his Eldian descent, he is seen as a threat, and for the people in Marley who do know that he is a Paradisian Eldian, that threat feels even more amplified. People also tend to consider him as a threat due to his size and looks. Motivation :: What motivates Isaak is the fear of being left behind. Which in a way feels stupid because to Isaak, it feels as though his whole life has been lost just so he could be turned into the Marleyan governmentâs personal war tool, and yet somewhere deep down in him thereâs that fear that he could get left behind, and they would just kill him. And death, even with all heâs lost where one would think it could be an escape, it frightens him. Especially if that death were to happen due to a higher ups decision, a death on the front-lines isnât a worry for him, because in some fucked up way even after being betrayed the way he was by Reiner, he would be fine dying by Reinerâs side on the battlefield. But to be left behind and die on some orders pushed onto him? He hates that idea, and that pushes him to go forward, that pushes him to in some messed up way prove himself that heâs useful.
Self Perception :: While physically he perceives himself exactly as strong as he is, not overestimating his strength nor underestimating, he tends to find it hard to see himself as looking threatening. And he also slightly underestimates the skills that heâs been able to show off on the battlefield during the war.

Are the other 104th cadets aware of Isaak and Reiner's relationship, or do they try to keep it secretive?

So to give a bit of really quick background. Isaak and Reiner (more specifically Reiner) avoided each other for the first few months I think (I'm a bit bad with the timeline currently. yeah I was really bad cause it's not a few months, it's a year and a month.) Okay so Reiner basically avoids Isaak for a year+ because he knows he's got a mission, and he knows that he would Love (with a capital L) Isaak if he really started getting closer. And obviously considering they were never close before that, cause the avoidance began from the day training started, no one really had any big clue of anything there, because there was nothing.
But then, a year+ into training, Isaak lightly pushes Reiner about the avoidance because Isaak doesn't want them to be on bad terms. One thing leads to another, they both confess, they stop avoiding each other, they slowly progress into a romantic relationship. (that they never actually talked about, they never officially say that from now on they are in a relationship.)
And see that, going from barely ever talking to each other to then being quite close, talking to each other all the time, training with each other, walking everywhere with one another, see now that is very noticeable for everyone. And they fucking clock it INSTANTLY. Even though they don't just kiss in front of everyone. But the touches linger, there's a few more seconds that they stare each other in the eyes, they speak to each other differently than they do with others, they're soft for each other, gentle.
And Annie actually confronts Reiner literally 2 days after the confession. Cuz, hahaha... He's falling for an enemy! That's not good for the mission! (and not good for Reiner, because at the end of the day Annie cares about that too.) That confrontation doesn't stop anything though, they continue being together.
As the time slowly goes by, yeah everyone in the 104th know that those two are a thing. And Reiner and Isaak just continue staying lowkey about it, just not secretive.
Also a note; I do see homophobia as still being a thing in their storyline. I just haven't actually incorporated it directly yet. Idk if I ever will, I might if I get a good idea, it could make for a nice scene perhaps if it's directed more at Isaak cause it could spike Reiner's protectiveness, I like that thought.
idk why it was constantly in my head that Isaak forgives Jean for throwing him out...? like I am not gonna make Isaak forgive Reiner, they will get over it, but it won't be forgiven. Why was it in my head that Isaak forgives Jean. he won't.
