my thoughts on the events that happened today
even though it is not my duty to do so,i sincerely apologise to GOT7 and the staff involved in taking care of GOT7 during their stay here.
here was my friend’s fanacc of what happened when she was at uss by chance:
According to her, there was this uneasy tension felt in the cafe and there were loads of fans mobbing outside. She said that GOT7 looked really annoyed in general, and she felt guilty invading their personal space. In the end,she took 2 pictures of them from a distance and left.
i know what you’re thinking,i’m defending her because she’s my friend.
Go and read the fan accounts on twitter on how bad the situation was,and bambam who was not easily angered was triggered from the fact that excited fangirls were shoving cameras into their faces.
Even though I am not that big of an IGOT7 as compared to me as an ARMY,i cannot help but to feel disappointed in the behaviour SOME selfish people decided to display to give a bad reputation towards Singaporean Fans.
i’m not trying to jinx this but what if Yugyeom told Jungkook about his horrendous experience in Singapore? To make matters worse, JYP might blacklist Singapore as one of the concert stops after this. and people will start ranting why Singapore isn’t one of the stops for their concerts.
and mind you, ladies and gentlemen,an entry ticket to the theme park costs at least 50 bucks.Even I myself would think twice before entering the theme park, even if GOT7 wasn’t in there.
overall,i thought that the mob was certainly not necessary at all. GOT7 wasn’t filming anything, they were there to enjoy themselves out of schedule.True,it is unavoidable that idols do get spotted in a tiny country, but isn’t it basic respect to give others space? It actually shocked me that GOT7 would extend their stay in Singapore. I feel that this also teaches fans from other fandoms as well to respect personal space and privacy.
Nonetheless,i really hope GOT7 enjoyed their stay in Singapore, while it lasted. Please,do come back to Singapore, we would gladly welcome you back here.
