Three of Cups Reversed (Overindulgence, isolation, gossip, scandal)

Well, well, well. This isn't surprising, is it? The Three of Cups Reversed describes Kelly's current situation rather aptly. She's isolated and lonely at the top, and is now being dragged into the mud thanks to her oversharing Instagram meltdown. She tried to get attention through her BS, and it backfired spectacularly. Case closed, right?

Well, not exactly. I pulled two clarifying cards to see if I could get some kind of deeper reason. And boy, do these cards explain a LOT.

Ace of Pentacles Reversed (Missed opportunities, emotional insecurity, scarcity mindset)

Mentally, Kelly doesn't seem to be in a good place. I've talked before about how she sees Max as an "investment" rather than an actual partner, and her ROI isn't hopeful. She's probably feeling scattered, throwing everything she can at the wall to see what sticks... but it's obviously not going in her favor.

And let's be real, would someone secure in their relationship do what she did last night?

The Devil Reversed (Freedom, reclaiming power, reclaiming control)

I think this is what Kelly WANTED to achieve with her 2016 throwback post. We know she wants to be in control of the narrative behind her relationship with Max, and she probably assumed her post would do as such. She wanted so badly for people to think Max was the one chasing her this whole time.

Why will he feel challenged by her? And will their relationship ever be "good"? Besides, can you see what their day to day dynamic might be?

You're gonna have to specify which dynamic you're referring to in question 3, because I can't tell if you're asking about Jos or Max.

But here, I'll answer the other two:

Why will Jos feel challenged by FS? Ace of Wands (New project, inspiration, urge to create)

Considering the other readings we've done, I think Jos will feel challenged by FS because of who they are as a person—and how they could change Max. Remember how I said I got "manic pixie dream girl" energy from FS once? I have a sense FS will challenge Max to think about life beyond racing and F1.

And for someone like Jos, who had been training Max since childhood for racing... that could feel like a threat to the entire legacy he built.

Will their relationship ever be "good"? Eight of Swords Reversed (Releasing Negative Thoughts, Self-Acceptance)

I’d like to add to the theory that things aren’t exactly smooth sailing between Max and MG, and that MG’s mom has been hanging out with them for the past three months to try to smooth things over: this recent reading. It seems to me that this theory could very well be accurate. At the very least, that’s exactly the vibe this couple is giving off right now, whether they want to or not. I don’t think there are any loud arguments or scandals between them. It feels like they’re simply not present in each other’s lives - each is busy with their own thing, far away from the other. Their relationship has fizzled out, and right now, neither of them wants to put in the effort to improve the situation.

Pulled two cards for this read- one for WHY things are going wrong, and one for what Max must do for things to get better.

Why are things going so wrong? The Hanged Man (Pause, sacrifice, waiting)

The last time we saw The Hanged Man, it was when we checked up on FS. And while it was in the Marseille deck, the meaning of the card carries over here. Everything likely feels "stuck" for Max- both in the personal and professional sense. And he's at the point where he is (or should be) stepping back and reevaluating his options/choices.

It's interesting how I pulled the same card recently for both Max and FS, even if they were in different decks. Perhaps it's a sign they're entering similar stages in their lives

What should Max do to get out of this funk? Six of Swords (Transition, change, moving on)

Three of Wands reversed (lack of planning, unexpected delays, obstacles)

This isn’t surprising, is it? Max is likely feeling stuck and restless right now. And who can blame him? These first two races haven’t gone well for him, and he’s not even really in WDC contention right now… a huge contrast to what we saw during preseason testing. Basically, he’s in a shit spot and he feels like shit for it.

Five of Pentacles (Loss, isolation, worry)

While the first card shows what’s going on publicly, I think this card shows what’s going on PRIVATELY. In a personal reading, the Five of Pentacles represents feelings of loneliness and insecurity. This isn’t surprising, as I imagine Kelly isn’t the best when it comes to comforting Max when he’s not doing well.

Anyone got any takes on this? // You should totally do a reading on this. These are my 2 questions on it : How does max communicate his affection? How does he approach love?
