@floriase // gets a plotted starter!
he’s busy and he keeps himself busy all the time now. He’s stocking new books, on the shelf end cap on the side. JUST IN! it reads on top of his now sculptured art form of books. He hums to himself, listening to the coffee house music playing over the overhead speakers. Now the coffee shop was everyone’s go to, but he appreciated the music. It was mostly coffee shop vibes, but occasionally there would be some 80s-90s that made him sing quietly along. Don’t Look Back in Anger by Oasis is playing now, and as familiar as he is with the band, he’s got a lot on his mind. JESS is cursing himself and what he has done to Luke, to Jimmy, -- to her. He knows better, and he knew he could’ve done better by her.
His mind is elsewhere; that includes him going back in his mind about his few talks to Rory. Jess continues to unpack the books from the multiple boxes, completely his daily work and catching up on what he might actually like to read next. It’s not until he hears a familiar voice, and he goes back to a time where it was much more pure than the days like today. He peeks his head from over his large stack of books, and focuses on where the voice is coming from. He’s shocked, and Jess is flabbergasted. Is this a dream? He couldn’t -- it couldn’t be. He looks back down at his stack of books, noting he has to make his way up to the front, which would lead him right to the voice. His eyes glance over. “Hey,” he muttered, sliding the books on the shelf. “Long time no see.”
