#flipnote sudomemo

I guess I’ll post this here too since I’m extremely proud of it, though not many people follow me on here it doesn’t really matter.

This animation is basically just a “backstory” related thing to one of my newer OCs Barret. I’m really proud of this animation.

NEW SHORT: FUTURE MATTERS

So I attempted to get on to sudomemo after god knows how long of being off it, turns out I can't.

For any one who doesn't know about sudomemo I'll make this bit quick, flip note was an animating program for the Nintendo DSi on it was an online service to post said "flipnotes " too called flipnote hatena which was run by a company called hatena, years went on and eventually nintendo shut down hatena since they were planning on making a new flipnote service for the 3ds with a new gallery called flipnote 3D World.

People were mad about this as it seemed that flipnote 3d was gonna take quite a while to release, so a guy called Austin Burk Aka sudofox took hatenas coding and recreated Hatena, calling it sudomemo.

Now that nintendo has ended flipnote 3d World, Sudomemo can no longer run due to the server being shut down or something... Well good...

Listen I loved Hatena it was fun to watch others animations, hell if you were on YouTube from 2009 to 2013 and saw a pixely animated music video chance is it was from Hatena, Sudomemo on the other hand was shit, pure shit. Sure you got some cool flipnotes too but you were limited to what you were allowed to post, which brings me yo my main problem, the creator...

Austin Burk controls sudomemo far too much like a dictator of sorts deleting any flipnote he seems "Not suitable" deleting flipnotes with blood, mental illness, and from what I've heard gay characters, everytime he is questioned about this he always says "Oh I'm just protecting the kids" or his more immature answer of "It's my site I'll do what I want"

Few things about that, one the kid thing... Uh what kid under the age of 13 knows how to rewrite a proxy server, hell half the kids on hatena under 11 didn't care when it got shut down. Two the "It's my site" shit... It's not though is it, you stole the coding from a website that shut down and just changed the name and colour scheme.. Yup definetly you're website...

He even went as far from what I've heard to actually emailing people's parents when he didnt like what they were doing, there was talk that some girl had been posting about being gay and that her parents didn't know and that he ratted her out to them, look I'll give him the benifit of the doubt with the last one cause I can't be certain of it, however the emailing of parents doesn't seem out of his control, this is a guy who reverse engineered a fucking DSi app after all.

So I'll end on this, Flipnote Hatena was a beautiful, fun site that should never have been shut down, if anything Nintendo should have kept it and used it for the 3ds instead.
