I follow so many aro/ace folks and reblog so many asexuality memes (cause they’re funny and solidarity and what have you) that Tumblr’s recommendations now fully believe I myself am asexual

This week, someone told me that I look like the kind of person who owns a Dutch Oven, and I don't know how to feel about that.

I worked for a nursing home some almost four years back. The last year I was an activities assistant, I pitched an idea for our Senior Olympics that was accepted. We did it, and we did it as big as we could, and we won a good few awards for it. My superior got and accepted ALL of the credit. I got a quiet pat on the back once we got back, after all of the rave reviews SHE got. This year, the company that owns all of the nursing homes recycled that idea for the overall theme of the event. They changed it just enough that it wasn't quite the same, and, naturally, they had a bigger budget to do some things we never could have. Like...I don't know if I'm more flattered that it was obviously such a damn good idea, or more insulted. I just...c a n ' t...
