I have a theory I think that Lia may come back in the 5x21 titled "The Girl with Red Lightning" as when she checked on Nora when she got hit by Godspeed lightning she was shocked by Nora's lightning and Barry did something similar with Jesse in S2 that awakens her from coma and eventually develops powers so maybe Lia contracted powers from Nora what do you think

That’s a really interesting theory. I actually hadn’t seen that she was shocked (I missed some of the scenes). I went back and looked at the scene and wow, interesting that they did they that. The lightning actually left a burn on her hands that she also mentioned later. I feel like having her be shocked wasn’t necessary to get the message across that there was now lightning running through Nora, so it’s a valid question to ask/wonder if them including that means something.
I don’t know how it would work with transferring powers like that, but you might be on to something. I’m not sure if we got a last name for Lia, but in the comics, Lia Nelson is a speedster.
Plus while I hadn’t heard of or seen the actress that plays Lia in anything, looking at her twitter it seems she’s pretty popular and/or known. There were a lot of people who were happily surprised to see her on the show. I feel like them hiring an actress that’s known like that could indicate that it won’t just be a one off appearance but that she might be back.
And like you mentioned, the title for episode 5x21 is The Girl with Red Lightning. Who is the girl with red lightning? I thought it might be the speedster Jay is training. (and yes, part of me was also like: has Nora’s twin finally arrived?? haha). But the episode being so close to the finale, someone like Lia, would be more connected to the overall plot. Not sure though how it would be worked into the present day plot.
(Strangely enough, if it turned out she was still alive and a speedster now it actually has shades of the godspeed origin story in the comics. I mean only very superficially of course, a good friend that works with them at CCPD also becoming a speedster.)
So I definitely think this is an interesting theory and you could be on to something! But I guess as always we’ll have to wait and see.
