Their dad usually helped settle them in his own way, which they clearly missed, but Blaez knew how to make things work and maybe... just maybe those tiny babies learning to be without their dad for short periods of time would do them some good if situations were to ever get dire.

Throwing away all the potential negativity, she had every intention of enjoying this small holiday in Sicily, though the idea of turning her brain off completely was a foreign concept for her. "Or I could maybe peruse your cookbooks for some really good ideas for dinner tonight that I can help you cook later, maybe?" A little body wiggle of enthusiasm. But also an indication that Blaez wasn't too familiar with the idea of settling.

               What ramble she was on ceased instantly before an almost Sebastian-like eye contact was made. "You wanna try that again?" His two words brought her right back down, freeing her from the elevated panic that had its claws deep within metaphorical flesh. "When's it gonna be my turn?" Voice wasn't raised by Blaez's standards, but it was undeniably squeaky. "When am I gonna be the one who gets to drop bombs on you and give you no chance to process?"

               Breaths came out laboured, woman clearly both exhausted and frightened. "I thought you were here in Sicily to avoid this sort of crap!" Anger radiated from words, something sounded so strange to those who knew her well. "What the hell is going on?" While she missed her babies like nothing else in the world, she would thank the Mother and her moon several times over for them not being with her in this moment.

Heart raced at a deafening level as she stared down Derek, looking almost ready as if she were to lunge at him herself out of pure and raw panic. "What's happening?"

               Wolf knew all she had to do was offer Derek her trademark smile. One of the perks of being the glue that held a group together in times of both peace and strife was that she could pull a favour or two when she needed it. “And you don’t owe me for all the times I’ve help you out, hmm?” While smile remained soft, there was a hint of mischievousness that lingered on features. “I mean, I only think its fair.” And she knew her following words were just a little manipulative, but she also knew it would get Derek to at least half-way behave himself. “And you know that Tarynn and Travis will wanna see their long distance uncle too, when we’re done.”
