Friends, I'm concerned we may be heading into another purge, so here's how you can request a human review for your reblogs that Tumblr has flagged and hidden as “sexually explicit content” (a label that is often applied incorrectly).
Keep in mind that this method only works if the original post is still available on the blog where it was first published as it won't work if the post has been deleted by the op or if it comes from a deactivated blog.
At first, it may seem like you can't interact with the post at all, and it will appear like this:
However, you can still reblog your own post and save it as a draft. Once it's in your drafts, you'll be able to check whether the post comes from an account that still exists.
If the original post is still available on the originating blog, you'll be reblogging it again directly from the op's account. In that case, the new reblog will appear like this on your blog:
Now you can choose to submit an appeal and a human will review whether it was wrongly flagged or not:
In the description, you'll state how many images are in the post and describe what's in each one, like this:
“The post contains one drawing in which two fictional male characters are kissing, there is no nudity or explicit content in the artwork.”
And that's it! In a few minutes, your appeal will be reviewed and accepted!
I hope this helps someone, we can't let art be unfairly censored again!
