If you really want to try Supernatural I'd suggest the same thing I would for Buffy: try the last episode of Season 1 & then go into season 2. (They both have much stronger season 2s.) Then you can rewatch season 1 once you care about the characters.

Yeah re: sally-appropriate, it doesn't show much in terms of gore or anything (no more than aoje did) but I'd say it's more suspenseful? So maybe if the ending was thoroughly spoiled or a couple shippy episodes?
Yeah... I feel like there were only a small handful of episodes that I found at all suspenseful or tense... and I recall feeling at least as much so in some of the bits of AOJE I saw. Â So possibly the genre of Carmilla is misleading. But I also don't think I'm a great proxy for anonsally judgments. :) Â Pretty sure there are some episodes that are totally safe, though... a lot of them just felt like light humor.

I really liked carmilla! I think it was a good adaptation of the story (which imho was badly written originaly...) and also i loved the characters. i give web series a wider lane when it comes to acting; i expect a *little* cheese and/or akwardness
Yeah, for sure -- I don't hold web series to quite the same acting standards. Â Though I thought most of the performances in this one were decent, and I loved some of the characters. Â Glad you also enjoyed -- I'm excited they're going to have a S2. :D

Yeah, Carmilla is not for me, but I'm glad you're enjoying it! It definitely has a lot of people who love it.
*nod* Â I think you'd love a lot of things about it, but so be it. :) Â As I noted to clavisa above, I'm definitely not always the best judge of what will work for you! Â And it's definitely more suspenseful in a couple episodes than NMTD or LBD ever got. Â I hope your current web series are excellent and fulfilling your entertainment/fandom needs. :D

I've watched Carmilla and I like it! I haven't been involved in the fandom because I hear it's huge, and I've gotten so used to tiny tiny fandoms where everyone knows everyone.

Â But I ran into a snag in their website (where my old account couldn't be reactivated but was also blocking me from creating a new account). Â I wrote to them about it, and by the time I tried again today, they'd fixed the issue. Â So hopefully (fingers crossed) I won't have the same problem again!

The invention of the lock button on the key ring has really saved me. I have to have the keys to lock the car. Best use of technology ever. :)
Yes! Â I used to have that, but I have an ancient Saturn, and since that company went out of business, my key fob died and nobody will make me a new one. Â I've been planning to get a new car for a while now *cough two years oops* and once I do, hopefully this problem will go away. :)

No, I get that, I just don't think it's a very good rebuttal. Every dog I've seen confronted with meat has just straight-up ignored "no" and tried to eat it anyway. Like, I've never seen a dog who has actually stopped doing anything they're not supposed to do after being told to stop. I would go with "humans are supposed to be more intelligent and have more self-control than animals and so should be held to a higher standard than them."
