:SCREAMING: OH MY GOD IT LOOKS SO GOOD, YOU COULD HONESTLY KEEP IT AS BLACKWORK?????
HAHAH, I was hoping you’d see it! Glad you like it. (Don’t think about what the back looks like.)
I’ve considered keeping it as blackwork -- my initial goal was just to get the blackwork done and if I did that I’d be satisfied -- but now that it’s finished I think the color will be fun to do, though I may simplify it a bit. My original idea was that I would do the blackwork when I could concentrate and then if I wanted, fill the colors on my commute, while traveling or watching TV, etc. I’m not going to be commuting until at the earliest June and probably more like July, but I do attend meetings by phone when I can work on it, and even without commute time I’m estimating I could be done by the end of summer (end of winter was my estimate for the blackwork and I would have managed that but for the concussion).
In the meantime I’ve ordered black aida for the Schroedinger’s Cat pattern, which will be a nice break and a project I’ve wanted to do for a while.

Hee hee. I used a slab of mine for - get this - Scrambled eggs with Hollandaise and chives on top! It felt so cheeky that I'm still chortling.
That sounds AMAZING. Especially since the focaccia is so prone to soaking up sauce, that must have been delicious!
