Since england is looking for animals to represent england as they replace human faces , i think they should use Fiver from Watership. Everyone knows him.

How much more intense would the conflict be if Fiver instead was faced with Silverweed wanting to take the magic and use it himself? (Though Fiver probably wouldn't immediately accuse Silverweed of being a traitor working for Woundwort, for one). What angst would Fiver go through learning that Silverweed made this sacrifice for HIM, costing him his youth and his future vision powers?

To be fair he does yell at some of them in the book about it (Hazel and Bigwig at the Shining Wire, actually everyone else also for being stupid and wanting to take over Cowslip's warren, and then at Hazel for wanting to go to Nuthanger)
