i'm just about to finish my reread and zamn i can see why they're so codependent and weird and intimate in the animated show, they're almost the same in the book too!! campion acted on impulse for the first time ever just so he could bring good news back to the general, and woundwort is said to have immense respect for him. "his best officer" oh my goddddd;!!!! and i don't even mean that in a romantic sense necessarily, it's just so fascinating how close of a relationship a chief rabbit and his owsla captain can have. "close" doesn't have to mean something sentimental, more so i see it in a sense of. they know they can rely on each other to get the job done. they operate in sync!!! and that's perhaps the thing that separates them a little from show!campwort bc for the latter it's a lot easier to see them in a romantic context bc campion seems to have Endlessly more depth and he's kinda tortured and forlorn. AT LEAST THAT'S WHAT I COULD GLEAN FORM YOUR POSTS ABOUT HIS SHOW COUNTERPART if i'm wrong you can throw a tomato at me
i'll finally have to check out tales to fully understand campion's deal and how he's doing after the battle but . YES. okay thank u for your time!!!!!

i love the chief-captain dynamics in the book so much! like. hazel-bigwig woundwort-campion el-ahrairah-rabscuttle NONE of them can be """normal""" about each other. like however you wanna read it, it's something neat! they're so close in such interesting ways!
and oughhhh YEAH show!campwort is just. bonkers. yep campion is super tortured and forlorn. really pathetic actually on multiple occasions. he and ww are soooo weird and abnormal about each other it's wild.
there's still a bit much campion glazing in his tales chapter for me but it does address some of his feelings about ww so that's fun! i enjoy it.

i've said this before but s3 campion and woundwort are so funnyyyy. woundwort's like "you betrayed me!!" and campion just says "idk about that i have amnesia. also i'm cursed" and woundwort is just like "ok ❤️ yay ❤️"
