The best kind of dam, a Broken Down dam. Spent the past decade of my career trying to demolish these abominations or at least modify them enough to allow for fish and other organisms to pass upstream. This dam failed on its own in 1909, just a year after it was constructed. There are a few more dams upstream and downstream of this reach that my fellow peers are itching to remove.
