Cain had discovered that there was a radio in the grocery store and had decided to turn it on as he began to clean. Hearing a catchy and upbeat tune, made Cain feel young and jovial again. Mixing that with the emotions of being on such a wonderful date with River, Cain began to grin and dance around as he swept. Loving every second of the song, Cain was completely unaware that someone had entered the grocery store.

River looked around her kitchen, opening and closing every other pantry door when she decided that it was time to visit the grocery store. In all honesty, she wasn't entirely sure if she actually had to go shopping or if she just wanted to see Cain again; most likely it was the latter. The date had brought back a different array of emotions and she just felt.. happy. She walked over to the grocery and as she entered, she heard music and.. singing. As she got closer, she noticed it was Cain who was singing and dancing along. She had to stifle back a laugh as she continued to watch him, not saying a word.

Cain had, at some point, started singing into the end of the broomstick as if it were a microphone. It was a very rare moment for him to be like this, and he was taking full advantage of it. Suddenly, however, Cain felt another presence in the room. Tensing up, he looked around until his eyes landed onto River. Straightening up, Cain crossed over to the radio and turned it down before trying to calmly go back to sweeping. "Hello." Clearing his throat, the demon nearly tripped over himself as he set the broom aside and pulled on a nervous, flustered smile.

River was trying her hardest not to start laughing loudly as she didn't want to interrupt his little moment. She had seen the formal side of Cain, but she had never witnessed him so.. carefree. She liked it, she couldn't help but find it kind of endearing. When he finally caught sight of her, she gave him a small wave and a friendly smile. She began walking closer to him, noticing the way he suddenly got nervous. "Hello sweetie," she greeted him. "I didn't know you could sing, I would've asked you to do so a few days ago."

Cain "I, uh, well, it's not something I do often--no." Cain attempted a smile before casting his eyes to the floor before looking back up at her sheepishly. Reaching up to rub the back of his neck, Cain decided to push himself and closed the gap between them before leaning down and placing a soft kiss upon her cheek. "It's good to see you. I wanted to talk to you again, but I'm afraid I'm not very good at computers yet."

River "Oh, that's a shame - I would've loved to hear you sing but.. oh well," she lifted her shoulders before pulling them down again. She felt an odd sense of honor knowing that her presence through him off balance - he wouldn't be the first man that's been affected by her and certainly not the last. River closed her eyes for a second as she kissed her cheek and opened them again to look at him. "It's fine, dear, technology can be a tricky thing," she said, "but you're always welcome to come over or stop by the store. I wanted to talk to you, too."

Cain smiled gently at her and nodded. Briefly, Cain brought his hand up to her cheek and caressed it before brushing some of her loose curls back. "I would like that. I do, indeed, need newer clothes." Taking a small step back, Cain moved behind the counter. "Would you care for something to drink?"

River leaned into his touch and let out a soft breath through her nose, she somehow found herself more relaxed - as if having him here took away all the anger and frustration that she was feeling a few days ago. "Well, you're in luck because I can help you find something, easily," really she was wiling to do anything to spend more time with him. "I'd love a drink, thank you."

Cain smiled gratefully at her reply and nodded. Looking down at his clothes once more, Cain wondered what the fashion of today was like and thought that if it were like the Doctor's then he'd be okay with it. "What would you like? I have tea, water, beer, milk... well, it's a grocery store. I can accommodate any thirst you have." Laughing at his own silliness, Cain looked over at River and gave her a sheepish grin.

River walked closer to the counter and leaned on it slightly, smiling back at Cain. "Tea would be lovely, dear."

Cain merely smiled and nodded as he set the water up to boil. "So, I was thinking, Miss Song..." turning slowly around as he placed the tea tray onto the counter beside her, Cain looked up and met her gaze, "would you like to accompany me on another date sometime soon?"

River titled her head slightly to one side as she pay close attention to his question. She pretended to think about his question, pursing her lips together, and dropping her gaze down to the tea tray. After a few seconds, she looked back up at him as her smile grew and she nodded. "Yes, absolutely," she replied and reached over to hold his hand.

Cain slowly turned his hand around to take her's in his. Giving her hand a soft squeeze, Cain's smile grew wider as she agreed to a second date. "I have to confess, I'm not sure what to do, I just want to see you again." He let out a nervous chuckle before pulling her hand up and placing a kiss upon it.

River was pleased to hear his confession because she felt the same. "And I have to confess that I don't really mind what we do," she said with a soft chuckle. "We could stay at home and watch a movie for all I care," she watched as he kissed her hand and moved it, laying it softly on his cheek.

Cain "That would be lovely but I do not own a television nor would I know where to begin with what films to watch. I suppose I should leave that up to your choosing." Cain turned his head to the side so that he could place a soft kiss into the palm of her hand.

River "No worries about that," River replied, "I'll plan us something, yeah?"
