How did you discover your taste for 🥃? Maybe you went to a event organised by work? 😀 Great idea! 👍 . We just had the pleasure of hosting a tasting for 1100 at @eicc_uk as part of the annual first.org conference which brought computer security professionals from 60 countries 🌍 to #edinburgh and what fun it was 😀 . Guests tried and learnt about different whiskies from @johnniewalker @glenfiddichwhisky and @arranwhisky 😍 with @royalmilewhiskies also present to enable them to take bottles home 😋 . Who better to help spread the whisky love and wisdom? @singlemaltmark @whiskymari @wez_c @edinburghwhisky @thedrinkslady and their supporting crew. Thanks guys!! Thank you also to the staff at the EICC and Wilson and Sons for the special tasting glassware! . #edinburgh #firstconference #whiskytasting #mattdudley #trywhisky #explorewhisky #workevent #workevents #worktasting @simplywhisky #adramgoodtime #scotland #lovewhisky https://www.instagram.com/p/By8l7W_HtYn/?igshid=1strx9p0vkmg3

Thoughts from first time Conference attendee Vicki Kirkley
By contributing guest blogger Gregory Bossler
Vicki Kirkley, director of theatre at McKinney Boyd High School in Providence Village, Texas, has been involved with ITS for sixteen years and regularly attended the national Thespian Festival, even bringing Legally Blonde to main stage in 2013, but she's a first-time attendee at this year's national Conference.
After joining the Texas state chapter board, she thought it was important to begin "to talk with people outside the world of Texas Thespians, to see what is happening on the national level."
For Vicki, it's "all about connections, about getting to know the national world better and about the national world getting to know Texas better."
From first time Conference attendee Mary Jones!
By contributing blogger Gregory Bossler
At Hackensack Middle School, Mary Jones (known as "MJ" to her friends) feels like a unicorn, a singular advocate for theatre, but at this year's Conference (her first), she's found a whole herd of extraordinary enthusiasts like herself.
"Finding this kind of support system has been awesome," she said. "I'm surrounded by nothing but theatre educators who are fighting the same fight as me, who've been through the same battles and know how to overcome them."
She added, "I'm pushing for theatre at my school, because no one else is." In fact, she paid her own way to St. Pete Beach, Florida, because she saw how relevant the Conference was to her and to her program.
And she knows that she'll return to New Jersey with better battle plans in addition to a new sense of fellowship and direction. "I'll come back with enough to prove how worthwhile this experience has been."
