Welcome back for the last part of the Standards Symposium workshop presented at the 2015 National Conference.
If you missed the earlier installments and wish to view them in order you can find them via the following links: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3 as well as the Digital Workbook Materials.
This four-part, one-hour podcast, entitled Assessing with Standards, was presented to prepare participating teachers for the full-day Standards Symposium workshop at the 2015 Educational Theatre Association Conference. Each section covers a different aspect of the National Core Arts Standards and includes a short exercise.
This wonderful workshop was brought to you by three amazing educators: Jim Palmarini, the director of educational policy for the Educational Theatre Association, Mary Schuttler, head of the University of Northern Colorado teacher program and Leslie Van Leishout, the director of student support for North Thurston (Washington) Public Schools.
Part four is the concluding section of the Assessing with Standards podcast. It offers a fifteen-step approach to building a Model Cornerstone Assessment based on one’s own curriculum and student needs.
Thanks for having this experience with us, over the past 4 weeks, as we all learn more about the ever expanding future of theatre education!
