Hear me out: Bartholomew A. Bittlebun Jr. sending random mean and unusual text messages to your sim.

Like back in the day when he used to randomly text you and say "I don't like you" after your sim lost their job.

Mostly a polish + bug fix release, but the bugs were noticeable. If you're playing actively you'll want this one.

What's fixed:

Sims actually know what your sim does for a living. The AI now sees your sim's career, current mood, aspiration, and top skills on both sides of the conversation. Your dad finally asks how the doctor track is going. Your mom asks how the painting's coming along. Your sister teases you about the promotion she heard about.

Skill names show up clean. No more Statistic Skill AdultMajor Charisma 10 cluttering the prompt — just Charisma 10. CC-mod skills are filtered out so they don't crowd the real ones.

No more sims "running into" each other from different worlds. And cohabiting sims / romantic partners stop saying "ran into you at the store" when they literally live together.

No more "Sim X moved out of the household" out of nowhere. Old detector fired phantom move events every time you switched which family you were playing. Fixed.

"It's been forever since we talked" finally banned along with all its sibling phrases ("long time no talk", "been a minute", etc). Sims now open with the actual reason they're calling.

Aspirations don't get name-dropped anymore. No more sims saying "I've been working on my Track Knowledge aspiration" — they talk about the actual underlying goal naturally.

Calendar events stop being delivered as news. Sims who live in the same world as you stop saying "just heard Summer is coming up in 4 days" — they obviously already know.

Under the hood:

The journal (memory across sessions) no longer has a silent cap. Used to quietly drop history past 150 entries — now grows freely.

Atomic writes + corrupt-file backup mean the journal can never accidentally lose data on a crash. Your save's history is safe.

To update:

Grab the new files from github.com/morganparadis/llamafone/releases/latest and drop them in your Mods folder, replacing the old ones. Your llamafone.cfg is untouched (your API key stays put), your journal is preserved.

Your sims' phone, finally interesting.

Every call and text reads what's actually happening in your save — who lives in the household, their traits, mood, relationships, where they are — and sends it to the AI as context. Nobody calls about a job they don't have. Nobody texts about a sim who doesn't exist. The phone writes for the people in front of it.

A flirty teen texts in lowercase with dramatic slang. An elder writes long, warm paragraphs. A grandparent dotes; an enemy sneers. A Goofball cracks jokes mid-call. The voice fits.

Geography aware

If a sim lives in your world, they'll suggest grabbing coffee. If they live in San Myshuno and you're in Willow Creek, they keep it long-distance — no "come over" from across the map.

Picks up real events

Sim quit a job, got promoted, had a baby, got married, aged up? The mod catches it automatically and your friends bring it up — "heard you quit, you good?" — within days of it happening.

Family roles override traits

Your Outgoing Adventurous dad doesn't text you like a frat bro — he texts like your dad. Parents sound parental, siblings tease, spouses get intimate, grandparents ramble warmly.

Plausible contacts only

Sims on the lot don't randomly call you from the next room. A teen acquaintance doesn't suddenly text an elder unless they're family or close friends — cross-generational pairings stay grounded.

Friendship tone is law

Friends are warm. Acquaintances are polite. Enemies are openly hostile — no "rooting for you 💕" from someone who hates your guts. The current relationship beats anything from old chat history.

Realistic reply delays

So happy for Liberty Lee! Nothing is standing in the way of her promotion to Command Center Lead anymore!
