First Bible π! As a father, I desire that my children spend their lives pursuing the ways of Jesus. One of those spiritual disciplines is reading and memorizing scripture. Today Koen and Kashton were equipped with their first Bibles. I remember receiving my NKJV in June 1996 from my 5th Grade Boys Sunday School teacher, Mr. Holifield, at Mims Baptist Church in Conroe, Texas. I may have had a Bible before this, but this is the one that I have kept, highlighted, taken notes in, and now 26 years later, still have on my nightstand. I pray these Bibles become part of my boys' daily walks with Jesus. I loved seeing them open it up right away at start reading. They had seen the highlights in my Bible, so they right away wanted to highlight some of their favorite verses. Thank you, Jesus, for Your Word!
