First sock complete!
This was emotionally exhausting. We actually finished it a few days ago but didn't feel like posting about it yet. I think I need more experience with knitting before I can handle the stress of that heel turn. (And the end turned out flat, oof.)
It's comfy, though, and I'm proud of us.
Not going to make a partner for this boi. Doesn't feel quite good enough to make a pair. It's just... our first sock.
SOCKS!
My very first sock is beginning to...sock?
I'm about to start on the German Short Row Heel and it's freaking me out a little bit. But my London Fog is mighty fine today!

As I burn my Gingerbread Latte candle, drink Spiced Apple Chai, and visit with Anne Shirley, though the novel seems firmly set in Spring at the moment, Autumn twines itself around my senses. Something always happens to me with the dawning of Spring and as excited as I am for bright evenings and soft breezes and slow walks, my heart awakens to the promise of crisp stroll and a gallery of trees. It dawned on me that the yarn I'm using for this sock perfectly incapsulates the magic of an Autumn wood, with its silver misty air and leaves rich brown and orange and red, and spiced drinks cupped between my palms. Knowing I'll have these magical socks to wear once Fall arrives makes me so happy All that said, this is the first sock I intend to stick through to the end. Wish me luck.
the last step is closing up the toes - aaahh!! 🍂
