Tugas saya dan tim tahun ini adalah kajian mengenai FDRS atau Fire Danger Rating System (Sistem Pemeringkat Bahaya Kebakaran). Sasarannya antara lain memperbaiki analisis spasial dari sistem yang sudah ada dan menambah parameter lain untuk memperkuat hasilnya. Daerah studi adalah lahan gambut di Kabupaten OKI Sumsel. . FDRS hadir di Indonesia pada akhir 90an yang ber-"mahzab" ke Canada. Saat itu @BPPT_RI bekerja sama dengan Canadian Forest Service, dan bermitra lokal dengan Dephut (KLHK), BMG (BMKG) dan LAPAN serta beberapa perguruan tinggi.
