Uhh my face is already out here so I'll post a couple pics to have em up and maybe be less embarrassed? It feels kinda useless to post pics here when all my history is back in Instagram, but someday my archive there is probably going to disappear and I'll want to die. So yeah at least the most "aesthetic" ones I'll drop here. I actually do like my current style, so it'd be nice to get used to not... Being so ashamed of my looks anymore. I guess.

Yet another light novel I bought because it as super cheap and I liked the cover. And unfortunately it was yet another super boring first volume.
The volume starts off with a monologue about how there was a series in the protagonists first life that was criticised for having an aimless protagonist. But our protagonist says that she didn't mind that. It's realistic. After all, not everyone becomes an idol or a doctor. I strongly disagree with this argument as I think the protagonist is misunderstanding that criticism, prompting me to think more about this criticism and how motivations make a story better. So this monologue ended up distracting me for the rest of the volume and ended up being pointless. Not the best way to start a story, to say the least.
From there, it becomes a generic isekai that's checking off all the boxes as it goes. Guilds? check. Overpowered protagonist? check. "Inventing" chocolate? check. Stats? check. And the list keeps on going. It also does that web novel thing of having very short chapters which on the hand makes it easier to read in small chunks. On the other hand, it makes it feel like the volume goes on forever because the story barely progresses in those short chunks. I still have a decided preference for longer light novel chapters. I just found this volume so agonisingly boring. The fact that this is getting an anime adaptation baffles me a little but whatever. I won't be picking up any future volumes in this series.
