I saw Nathan Fillion in a local improv show once (he grew up in my hometown). When the actors were not onstage, they sat in the front row of the audience, and I was sitting in the second row. So, the whole time, Nathan was sitting one row ahead of me, and slightly to my left. Like, I wouldn't even have had to lean in order to reach over and ruffle his hair with my fingers.
I didn't of course, because that would have been CREEPY, and probably gotten me thrown out of the show.
But I COULD have....
