If you told anyone that Skull was the same Skull from thewar, they wouldn’t believe you. Skull is a human born during the time of thewar.  Like some others, he was born outof a union of two magically inclined humans in hopes to create a strongerchild. This is the power of humans, always willing to hurt others in order tobecome stronger. It was not a happy childhood, and Skull grew up seeing himselfas no more than a tool.

When he finally came of age to fight in the war, he was teamedwith two other, weaker magicians. He felt he had no need for them, but theywere there regardless. At first he hated this, but in time, he grew to careabout them. Protecting his partners, he gained a lot of LOVE during the war Itnever occurred to him, that because he was gaining LOVE, they were no. As such,almost as soon as they were assigned to another magician, they were killed.

Angered by this, he craved a dusty path through the monstersin his way. But, when the war was over, this changes. Unable to cleanse himselfof his acquired LOVE, he became a recluse. He had to pretend to be a happyperson in order not to drive other way. In time, he became known as a friendly,carefree guy. Nobody thought to compare him to what he had been during the war.

There was blood everywhere.

Konoe’s hands were drenched in it, and the scent of cold iron flooded the alley where she stood, making the scene that had unfolded there that much clearer. The lump that lay at her feet was still, but the pool of murky blackness which was spreading from underneath it was quite alive, filling the space with nightmarish persistence.

Cars zoomed past the alley’s entrance, their headlights illuminating the stage for the tiniest of intervals. Tiny, but enough. Enough for someone who was standing outside of the alley to catch a glimpse of the lithe woman clutching a blade in one hand, staring idly down at her work, to see her shoes turn a disgusting shade of crimson, her eyes slowly moving up to meet theirs.

They were empty eyes, devoid of any feeling at all. There was no excitement, no fear, not satisfaction, nothing. This woman had looked at death, but nothing about her gave up that fact, apart from the stains which couldn’t possibly be washed out by any amount of water.

“Man, Haru would be pissed if he knew what happened to Model 777.”

Originally made as a collaboration between Haru Haruna and a Scientist from the Association that Riku worked at when she was younger, Skull was originally made as a means to assist on missions, but his blueprints were stolen and databased wiped before being altered to be a full-action battle android. It was said that Riku met him once, but no one really knows for sure, as they never crossed paths after that mission in Belgium. 

When random magic circles started to be planted around the world looking for the supposed ‘Chosen Ones’, Skull found himself being thrown into one after going AWOL and ending up not too far off from the burning city of Infernim on the Colshe Continent. Unfortunately, this country was known for being the worst of worst when it came to war mongers, rouge dragons, and demons allied with Zenon Konoski. Fighting for his life most of the time, it was be pure chance that he found a whole Magi Crystal shattered in his hideout and took it for himself. 

It was almost six years later that Skull and Riku, now sixteen, crossed paths once again, though at the time she didn’t recognize him and was on a mission to take out a very important informant of Zenon’s, one who ironically happened to be working for Skull at the same time while Forestry City. Mistaking him for the informant despite being strictly told that he was dressed like a Dragon Contractor and not a “Conductive Suit”*, they clashed in a rather hard-pressed fight until being ambushed by the double-traitor himself.

Needless to say, but they had no problem in taking them out and decapitating the him. 

The question of whether they get along is a hard one, as Riku’s personality is still rather lax and not as serious as it is later on after Rukai’s death, but he ends up whipping her into shape a few times. One thing in mind is that they both want to kill Zenon, though for their own reasons- and their ideals clashing from time to time.
