Chimney Phantom
I've seen some folks here on Tumblr have differing opinions on this matter. I really like Rune's point that our spirituality and understanding of these beings in the present need not be limited to the Viking age conceptions of them. Our relation to and understanding of spirits of all kinds can and does change over time and across cultures. I think Rune provides enough historical evidence to show that this association with fire isn't entirely unfounded. I know I have UPG connecting Loki to kenaz, a rune associated with fire and its illuminating property. How is that any more or less valid than a centuries old interpretation of who Loki is? Even if you don't personally connect Loki with fire, I hope you can appreciate and understand why others have this connection.
Fire Spirits Ifrit and Salamander
Salamander represents Hot Fire and is contracted to Fuegoleon Vermillion
Ifrit represents Cold Fire and was supposed to be contracted to Carmela “Mela/Meloco” Schedar, but we decided the Bronze Dragons had enough spirits. Instead, he hangs out on Castrum Kremnos.
Both Spirits were created by Nikador, the patron deity of Castrum Kremnos, Mydei’s homeland. Associated with war, glory and chaos, he is the unofficial fourth Titan of the Clover Kingdom.
Ifrit is more zealous about his loyalty to his creator than Salamander and revels in combat.
Each Kingdom has three HSR Titans associated with it. In the canon of our crossover, Castrum is a smaller landmass that broke off of the coast of the Clover Kingdom due to continental drift. People associate fire with war and/or destruction.
