Happy Faire Friday!

These fiery shots were taken by the talented EspressoBuzz at this years Critical NW.

This was my first time performing a choreographed piece with ashmo_fire, and I'm so grateful that we'll have photos to remember the day.

A huge shoutout to fire camp and all the talented fire performers and safeties who came out to make the show as amazing as it was.

Algy was thrilled to receive this wonderful photoset from his lovely young friend @eyeofcathulu in the Philippines. She actually sent it to him much earlier on today, but owing to the big difference in time zones he decided to wait until she might be awake again before posting it 😀

Algy was especially pleased to receive these beautiful flowers and pineapple, as these are things which have been in rather short supply at his birthday party until now, and of course an exciting fire performance is always a special thrill.

taking a lil moment to post about a huge hero of mine..alicia taylor. alicia is the founder of the cirque/dance group, the cherry bombs. i’ve been into fire dance and cirque arts now for nearly ten years & was literally never able to find my place within it. it all started with me when I was regularly attending music festivals & really into EDM music. I completely fell in love with flow arts & the whole idea completely stole my heart from day one. as a person who has always been drawn to dance but was never sure exactly what kind or where my place was within it, when I discovered the endless props being used in flow arts, it suddenly began to all make sense. my mom used to dance in the 80s-early 90s & was even shown on CMT dancing a few times back in the day(lol😂) my mom & I have different styles but I think I definitely get my love of dance in general from her. I joined a dance team as a kid for a bit & it was probably my favorite “sport” I was ever a part of growing up. the cirque arts & fire most likely stemmed at least some from watching too much criss angel & seeing his live cirque du soleil show in vegas when I was 14. i’ve always been into rock & metal probably more than any other genre of music..so when I discovered the cherry bombs, I was ecstatic that something like what they do even exists. what alicia has created is amazing, & I look up to her so much. I can’t imagine how it would feel to be a part of something so rad, but it’s truly a huge dream of mine to be part of the cherry bombs girl gang. 🖤🔥💫
