"It's been a while. The best part of a decade, really, since I was up against the odds like this. I was a Lone Wanderer back then, well, not alone for long. There was Star-Paladin Cross who fell, then I fell to Butch's level, then Fawkes lifted me up and finally, ultimately, there was Charon.
I know what it is to sacrifice for the greater good. Not that the G.O.A.T. test would ever suggest anyone to be a Martyr. I'm certainly no preacher like they thought I'd be, don't think I believe in those manmade scaffolds around the altar of altruism. They tend not to hold up too well. I chose to be a healer, like my father before me. To do the best that I can.
So the moral compass of the Commonwealth is spinning: Minutemen, Institute, Railroad, Brotherhood. No Enclave here at the moment, thankfully but that stupid Codex-eating kid who grew up to become its mis-leader... did he really think he could..."
